  1. I have a good friend who owns a later T5 turbo wagon. An amazing car. Six speeds, turbo charged five cylinder, adjustable suspension from the cockpit, all wheel drive and about 285 horses with a top speed in excess of 150. . It'll embarrass a 5.0 Mustang in a straight line and loose most anything in the curves. I want one. Badly.
  2. This is simply logical to my mind. That some would NOT do this is simply foreign to me.
  3. I'm loving this one. Very creative!
  4. Looks cool. Wish I could help with pictures, but no such luck. I sure do wish some company would see fit to do an accurate US style race car transporter. I'd love to try to replicate the Penske Indy car trailers op mid 80's early 90's. Good luck with the project.
  5. Awesome pictures. Thanks for posting the link.
  6. With out a doubt. We can only hope that the minds at Revell figure this one out.
  7. Thanks!!
  8. Very beautiful work. I have an IMSA spec Art Sports version that has been stalled for years. This may well make me get started again on that one! Following for certain.
  9. Beautiful build of a beautiful car. Red five lives!
  10. Interesting thread. I've been wondering similar ideas about the Revell Ferrari 420 and 458. They seem HUGE......
  11. Looking good! If you are interested in offing the racer parts, I'd sure be interested. I have a ton of stuff to trade!
  12. I like it.
  13. It is a long story... short version is I have sent an old Revell body to a friend doing road racing resin kits in England to do a proper 914/6 body. He may well offer it for sale, but I haven't yet talked to him about it. I'm sure if he thinks there is a market, he'd offer it.
  14. Thanks for the info. I never even thought to look there. I have the Johan 72 Folmer Javelin I want to back date to the 71 car.
  15. I finally picked one of these kits up. I've always wanted one. Astonishing amount of parts. Very detailed as well. Now that the Attempt 1 has been reissued as well, time to pick it up again.
  16. I had a;; three of the kits mentioned here. The Rabbit is long gone, but the Brat and Scirocco still exist in various states of dis repair. All three were pretty neat kits. The Scirocco's racing pieces are very accurate for the 1:1 road racer. I'd love to see these re-issued.
  17. The 962 was made in answer to IMSA's requirements that the front axle be in front of the drivers foot box, making it a bit more stub nosed. The FIA adopted these same rules for Group C a few years later. The RoG kit is a rebox of the Hasegawa 962. Both Tamiya and Hasegawa offered curb side 962's. Tamiya made a full detail 956 and Protar offered a pretty bad curb side 956 as well. Very nice build indeed.
  18. I have quite a few of the 911 and 356 variants, as well as a 635CSI Bimmer. They are wonderful kits in many ways. I have always questioned the slightly flat top look of the 911 wheel arches though. Not quite correct. And as for the BMW, the roof looks slightly chopped in comparison to the Tamiya and even the Monogram kit. So, kit bash the Tamiya and the Fujimi and get the best 625 possible! And the 356 is a great source of parts for various other Porsche models, like the RS 60 and 550 spyders.
  19. Very cool. I am a big 911 fan. The single greatest road racing car, based on street design IMHO.
  20. Outstanding work so far. I will be following your progress and will alert when I get my resin 914-6 body from England!!
  21. I still have bits and pieces of the original kit floating around in my spares boxes. The kit came with a 4 cylinder as well IIRC. Pretty simply OHC affair.
