  1. I always like these in the ol' Mclean Trucking Company livery.....
  2. Night fever, night fever,We know how to do it,Gimme that night fever, night fever,We know how to show it....and speaking on know how to show it,this thing turned perfect!!!! from the color and the Hot Wheels style graphics and the real thing/things that just really make it that Hot Wheels look is the yellow tinted glass and pot metal interior/chassis and the display just sets it off in fact the shot with the car with its "wrapper" looks like a 1/64 Hot Wheels....I enjoyed this one all the way!
  3. Kinda creepy as you say but in all the right ways , I love this thing color and all and the diorama just adds that much more to it.
  4. The burnt orange color looks great just as it would in my kitchen but I have the Sunrise Yellow in mine and what?!?!?!?!? when men wore polyester suits?!?!?!?! what do you mean when? I never got the memo that they went out of style......dangggggg next your gonna tell me my kitchen is outdated ......Seriously I am loving this creation every step of the way and it to me is capturing the Hot Wheels theme/look all the way.....
  5. Thanks for the tip on the tint, never even thought about the Tamiya clear colors to tint glass even though I have all the colors and use them for lenses etc. ...big duh on my part lol..... As far as the engine over size I too remember some of the Hot Wheels having "Monster Cubic Inches" like this lil' one.
  6. Thanks Dave!!! Paint scheme sounds and looks good in my head but now if I can jusssssssssssss apply it lol...........
  7. This is so Hot Wheels !!!!!! love the glass idea, how did you tint the glass?

  9. The mods on this are insane!!! .... Love how the Chevy grill looks right at home with the mods you have done.
  10. Great to see you back at it Nick, and what a way to get back to it with this sweet lil' service station truck you did and the color combination works perfect with the Esso theme.
  11. Perfect color for a Nova,my sister purchased a new '71 Nova in a color verrrrrrrrrrrry close to Citrus Yellow.
  12. Filled and shaped now just needs finished off.....thanks for lookin'
  13. Thanks JT,I know it won't be 100% correct nor will it have much detail but I fell it would clean it up a bit.
  14. Even though this is gonna be a "curb side" build the front straight axle just doesn't sit well with me so I got a old 4x4 axle and using it to add the the straight axle to give it a sorta correct look from a display view Picture of the "roughed in" look, still got a bit of work to do to it. Got the holes filled in on the wrecker bed from when I removed the whatever ornament on the side,I used a thin plastic sheet to cover from the back side and cut plastic pieces to fit the opening and sanded it down and now just put a thin layer of putty to hopefully finish it off cleanly and also messed with the front axle tracking and brought the wheels in closer hopefully they look about right.... Thanks for lookin' and as always comments, ideas and or suggestions always welcomed......
  15. Thanks JT ! and it does speak 70's but I am not sure the 70's would wanna claim that....
  16. Fantastic news on the new job!!! Congratulations !!!!!.......
  17. A little more done, not quite sure what this trim piece on the side is suppose to be but never the less its going away.....
  18. Thanks Gator!!! and yeah I got to narrow the front and the rear as well ,this was just a trial fit.
  19. JT , interior work really sets this once a toy off, this has made this a nice piece in any collection!
  20. Small update , found some somewhat correct 4 hole Budd wheels to use to give it that more correct look , just a body/wheel mock up and they need a little tweaking as far as the tracking etc.,comments , ideas ,and or suggestions welcome as always.....thanks for lookin'
  21. Doesn't surprise me none as I have ordered stuff from Canton Ohio to ship to Akron Ohio which is about 20 miles and still goes through Warrendale Pa.,it's just a Postal Hub to distribute.
  22. The 320i was always my favorite BMW and you say this is your first in 50yrs?!?!?!? man I couldn't get one to come out that nice in 50yrs...real nice clean work.
  23. This was a tip from the "Model Gods" from above being my son and I were discussing the fact he would like to figure a better way of making the Revell snap Raptor headlamps look more realistic Sunday afternoon and whammmm here's the way so I sent him this link....thanks again for the awesome tip Mr. Mike!!!
  24. Mr. Mike....Super slick idea on the headlamps looks real, how did you figure the angle and the sizing?
  25. Like everyone said about the weathering being awesome,I like all of it but the thrill kicker for me was the rear axle housing with the grease/grime build up and rust....this thing is amazing!
