I watched this one from the beginning and the end was no disappointment , Mr. Mike I have to say this one is my favorite you have done , love the interior and the small details like the exhaust dumps and the stance etc. really enjoyed seeing this one come alive.

I have the pleasure of belonging to probably on of the greatest model club where we meet once a month and if anything it's allllllllllllllways good for a laugh as the members are just great and a lot of fun just to hang out with and also I will tell you I think we have some of the most talented modelers me excluded of course ....... so at the last meeting I purchased a box of mainly parts of a few '61-'63 F100 (Slick) one complete and one complete '60 F100 (Refrigerator) and in those parts was a somewhat cut up Slick that made alarms go off in my head on what I can do with this body/chassis unit and being I own a '66 Slick makes it even more fun for me......I have a few extra grill assy's '61's and '63's so not sure which one to use yet. Started some small work to get the body cleaned up and smooth out the rounded out rear wheel openings and fix the cracked roof .....so here's what I have so far and any ideas , comments , and or thoughts etc. please feel free to give cuz I sure could use the help.... The start of what I have.... ...After a little clean up and smoothing out the body work.. That's it for now ...... Thanks for lookin' ....

Got a little bit more done , finished the "hole" in the roof and the "notch" on the back of the cab and now I have started on making the visor look like a separate unit...thanks for looking! -

Been following this one on facebook as well, just amazed of the detail you have done...Always thought the Corbitt Tall Boy was a unique and cool looking truck. -
I love it and the extra added detail really brings this one out. I always like the AMT Modified series and this one really out does them all..would love to see a shot with the body in place.
-
Mr. Mike that color looks perfect for the car and looks like its smooth as glass and the interior detail looks great , it's amazing how these lil' snap kits can really come to life when some time and effort are put into then as shown by your example.

Lookin' real sweet but then again it's like that with all your work, love how the roof line just laid in there so clean......and oh yeah you might wanna check into the Pro Touring rules and regulations before you build it as one ..........seriously looking forward to this one come alive like all the others.

GMC Wrecker Update 04/10
Badluck 13 replied to Badluck 13's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Got a little bit done on the sanding, once I get the body work settled then I need to figure a paint scheme , thinking of white with blue/red trim and use American Oil decals. ....and here is my "noodle of a hood" Thanks for lookin' comments, ideas, and or suggestions welcome! -
Found this kit at a local Drug Mart on sale "cheap" and like I really need another kit but I figured I would just build a "quick slump buster"........ yeah ..... I never built this kit before but when I opened it up it brought back some memories of my modeling past,I see it was on the same platform of "Billy Carter's Redneck Power Pickup" ...... Crude engine detail,4x4 chassis or lack of but never the less a quick-ish curb side.... The one thing I noticed was how badly the hood and tow outer bed was warped, the hood looks like a lasagna noodle but it looks like it will glue down straight/flat being I am not going to have any engine detail and the bed test fitted and looks like it will fall together with a lil help......But now sooooo much for a quick build, the mor I looked at the cab the more I hated the visor, the cab light plate and for what ever reason the notch in the rear of the cab,I used some plastic strips for the back of the cab and sheet plastic to form a headliner and filler for the hole in the roof just don't know if I got the nerve to cut the visor off,I just might cut a groove along the top to at least make it look like a separate piece.... this is what I got done last nights sitting...any comments, ideas etc. are more than welcome..............thanks for lookin' One thing I noticed about the grille, the lack of "GMC" in the center and the box says '77 but it looks more like a '79 grille with the chrome headlamp doors going around the park lights like the '79 GMC I had maaaany years ago..... Cab "notch" filled in and shaped. Filler plate shaped and in place......that's it for now........
