Badluck 13 replied to Bennyg's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Super sharp build on the Ferguson , in the right photo setting it could pass as a restored real thing.....Very nice!! -
Mr Mike another beauty for the shelf, enjoyed watching this one come to life, color fits this one perfect and the under hood detail looks great.
-
Wow Mr. Mike that interior looks great and nice touch on the shift ball.

Sat down and got the foil work done on the body just need to figure out how to give the bright work the "aged" look.... That's it for now thanks for lookin' any comments , ideas , are welcomed.......
-
Love the dog dish look and wow what a Purdy color and I really like what you did with the interior!!!
-
Got a little more progress done to the '63 , interior is a mess , once the black tar like paint was removed it revealed how damaged the plastic was from the heavy amount of glue and what the paint done to the plastic as well ...... so this is what I have got done to it so far , Far from great but somewhat better and this is just a mock up , still some foil work to finish up etc. .....A bit of frame/floor work done....trying to give it the used look , not too sure if I am pleased with it or not....leaving fuel tank with that "new" look as would be when rescuing a car that has been sitting for years with old nasty fuel.... That's about it for now , started the foil work on the body and see how that goes.....Thanks for looking and open for comments and of ideas .......

I seen a video by Chris Chapman using blue washer fluid as a thinner and cleaner and he swore it does not give a blue tint so I went out to the garage got some fluid and gave it a try and sure enough worked great and was a good cleaner too.....I personally find his videos verrrrrrrrrrrry helpful...

Hey thanks for the positive comments.....I do plan to use foil and the interior is being redone (hopefully) having a heck of a time getting the black paint off the seats especially,Did manage to do a little update on it Sunday ........Thans for lookin' and again please comments, ideas etc. are very welcome A little more on the "Work in progress" look in primer, pay no attention to the silver body side trim as eventually they will be foiled. Some under hood clean up,wanting that look of a freshened up engine compartment and also hope to do a little detail here as well. Door/side panels cleaned up decent and painted it with "craft acrylic paint",found a metallic color that looks close to Medium Saddle Metallic even though it looks very "gold" here under the light and or camera shot. Also tried a first of drilling out the tailpipes .... looks like I need to open them up a bit more...............That's it for now and again thanks for looking!

Hey Skip thanks for the info , just put my order in for one and sooooooooooo looking forward to get this one! -
Picked up this '63 Chevrolet a couple of weeks ago at a model swap meet for $3.00 and for some reason kinda felt sorry for the thing and I always wanted to do a "Glue Bomb" resto and figure what the heck I will only be out of three bucks worse case scenario and I also figured I will try do this with parts and supplies, etc. I already had just to see if I could keep the "cost" downand to make it more interesting for me and would hopefully keep my attention to it . My plan is to make it a "survivor ride" i.e something that was found parked in a field , barn , abandoned etc. that was brought back to life to hit the streets as a work in progress...... I plan to try to use the body color as is with hopefully some weathering technique if possible along with some other first time at trying something new for me... A first time at wiring the distributor and plan to hopefully do more under hood detail.. A first time at wiring the distributor and plan to hopefully do more under hood detail.. Kind of a quick mock up of what I hope to accomplish and so far I am enjoying this resto-cheap build....That's all for now and please any comments , ideas , etc. are welcome ....Thanks for lookin'

Feb.1st is here and I only have a small update to post but considering the little time I have had the past few weeks I feel it isn't going too bad ... sorta,kinda,maybe..... Mainly right now I have been working on the seams and mold lines to mak it somewhat cleaner, once I get this done it should roll along much better, that is once I get rid of the "snap" holes in the back of the cab....... Just had to separate the fan from the shroud .. Trying to make the flap look a little more convincing Gotta close that open intake look, had someone point this out to me on another forum once on one of my few finished projects,a lil' something I never noticed until it eas pointed out.. Rough finish, just need to clean it up a bit. ...and I picked these up for a buck at a model swap meet a week ago that should find their way on this thing....that's all for now,and comments, and or suggestions very welcome!! thanks for lookin'
