  1. I would use white primer myself. I use gray primer if I'm using silver or black over it, and white primer for all other colors over it.
  2. Welcome to the forum Ronnie as it's a great place to be. I like your builds as they are lookin' good. There is a model car club or two that meet in Crystal Lake every month. Send me a PM if you're interested in the details.
  3. I myself would have been livid at first, but after the initial shock i would just move on and clean up the mess, fix what I could and scrap the rest.
  4. That one did sell models as they're all gone and seem hard to find also. That release also had another box with maybe a drive in movie on the cover or? I never see these kits around anymore at swap meets and sold one of my '59 Imperial kits a few years back. Yep I did buy this kit for its contents.
  5. Backwards? And here I thought that was they way they sold them with the bill at the rear of the cap, no?
  6. Jimmy Flintstone belongs to one of the model car clubs that I also belong to and he his a great guy.
  7. While I'm not a "pony car" type of guy, that Monogram kit of the Camaro was terrible to say the least.
  8. Feeling 40 when you're pushin' 70? Ha that'll never happen.
  9. Then it's unanimous that we form a quartet. LOL!
  10. Don't feel bad as I can't sing either. LOL!
  11. While some box art is just plain terrible, I most always buy the kit for its contents. I would rarely buy a kit because of the box art.
  12. That is good news Joe, and I wish her the best of luck.
  13. This is what I use as my tools and jar paints are all in this desk drawer.
  14. Hmmm, that all depends on the size of the sandwich doesn't it. You do remember Dagwood Bumstead from the Blondie comics and the size of the sandwiches he made don't you???
  15. Lookin' good Ken, stay with it.
  16. You're right that sometimes getting old is tough, however it's a privilege that many people don't reach. It also has many benefits as well. We just have to learn to take the good with the bad and be grateful for what we have, including lots of unbuilt model kits.
  17. I do too as your build just oozes late 50's. Great job. I need another kit like I need another hole in my head, however I could be persuaded to get one and hopefully build it as well.
  18. How do I erase (delete) my Notifications and Messages so they don't pile up? Thanks.
  19. Oh so Brian's Hobbies is not open during the day?
  20. While I've never been to Brian's as it's too far for me, I have seen him at many model car shows and he's a good guy.
  21. How 'bout Dr. Kevorkian?
  22. I have a Hobby Lobby just a 1/2 mile away, but I rarely go there and prefer to support my LHS.
  23. How 'bout the Hobby Town USA in Lake in the Hills?
