  1. Modern technology is destroying our simple quality of life.
  2. Junior would probably be better off behind the mike, than in a box like his father.
  3. I would love to attend that show next year, as I've seen photos from this years show and I was very impressed. However most all of my next years vacations are already planned. Bummer.
  4. I don't buy any furniture that is made in Vietnam or Cambodia.
  5. THANKS to all our veterans.
  6. Hart Parts makes a conversion kit for the Revell/Monogram Super Bee kit to convert it into an R/T. I'm currently workin' on one now.
  7. I've been drivin' for over fifty years, so I really don't need any voice in my vehicle tellin' me anything at all.
  8. You just gotta check out Bob's paints, and I'm currently working on a re-build of a '60 El Camino and Bob's Kustom Khrome did an excellent job plating the bumpers, grille, and tail lights for me.
  9. How are you doin' so far this month Harry, hopefully better or at least stable? Prayers are ongoing for you.
  10. This is the '46 I did last year Mike....................................
  11. In Sept. of '58 the 59's were already on the car haulers heading to the dealers. I use to check them out on our road trips to Buffalo.
  12. AMEN, as that was well said.
  13. Very nice work on that Plymouth, as I just love dem Mopars!
  14. Cool video and interesting subject matter.
  15. I have one of the Model A Roadster kits and one of the '30 Model A Coupe kit, and that's enough for me.
  16. I was drag racing at the strip back in '64 and no sight of any braided fuel lines.
  17. We had our annual "club auction" this Friday night and it was a great time as well as building up funds for out upcoming Dec. "pizza party." There were deals to be had and our auctioneer is a natural at it, with plenty of humor thrown in for good measure. It's no wonder I drive 40+ miles each way every month for many years as this club is awesome.
  18. I use 5-Minute Epoxy to glue on my photo etched parts as it dries clear.
  19. Lookin' good so far Ken, and a cool project also.
  20. A VERY Happy Birthday to you Harry, and may your health improve and you have many more birthdays.
  21. Remember when using braided wire for fuel lines, etc. that you need to find out when the drag racers first started using them in order to be "period correct." I build drag cars from the mid-60's and the braided lines weren't really used back then.
  22. You're right about that as I was discussing the game with someone else a few days ago, and it seemed a lot like reading a novel or seeing a movie. And as mentioned before, the game could've gone either way as it was very exciting.
  23. Well it's in the history books now, however maybe you could search on the computer and the game has been recorded either on the computer or your local TV station, no?
  24. I use the minimum of tools and I still can turn out a decent model. Do you have the paint, or are you using Dupli-Color? Are you stripping the paint on it now, or just painting over it? Use Tamiya White primer under your color coats, and use clear over your color coats such as Tamiya or Testors. I use Devcon 5-Minute Epoxy for gluing parts including the windshield and other clear parts. An Exacto knife and sanding sticks are very handy tools as well as 6'' 45 degree tweezers. Use toothpicks for applying glue as it is much neater. Looks like you'll need spru-cutters to remove those pieces from the trees also. Take your time and do a good job as Rome wasn't built in a day either. I hope that this helps. Feel free to ask all the questions you need to, and there are NO dumb questions as we all had to learn.
  25. I'm sure that many of the people are from neighboring suburbs, and I would tend to think that there are a lot of out of town people there also.
