  1. Good luck and prayers to you Vince. I've had my second total knee replacement done 7 1/2 years ago and I'm a "happy camper." I'm lucky enough to be able to crawl under my ride to do an oil change when I feel like it, and also able to do just about anything I want. No cane, no walker, no wheelchair and I thank God.
  2. Very nice build indeed Drew, great job!
  3. Very nice build on that Buick Tom. Didn't I see you at the DuPage show last month talkin' to Chuck Festudo. or am I thinkin' of someone else?
  4. That's what I do as I've been using Tamiya primer for a few years now and very happy with the results. I do like the idea of 40% off also.
  5. It's only money so enjoy life while you can. Sure it was great while Danbury and Franklin MInts were in business, but life goes on. I have my die-cast collection in a curio cabinet and enjoy having them. Occasionally one can find these die-casts at swap meets as I just saw a bunch for sale last month, but I wasn't in the mood to purchase any.
  6. Looks like I''m havin' an on-line problem here according to my last post as that's not what I said.
  7. While this is a new show and swap meet, I heard that it turned out well as this is slated to be an annual event. I was out of town and couldn't make it even though I belong to the host club. Guess I'll have to plan my vacations around this show too. On another forum someone posted 650 photos taken at this show.
  8. Nice build on that T-Bird,as I just sold one of those kits over this past summer. Went to a new Hooters restaurant today, and enjoyed the wings.
  9. Great lookin' boat, but needs a driver. I'll bet it scoots pretty good also.
  10. Oh it will haul, that's for sure. Back in the late 90's some R/C boaters were using weed wacker motors for power on their boats.
  11. Very nice!
  12. My wife and I saw that movie a few weeks ago and enjoyed it, with a top actor in the lead role and a great director we just couldn't miss. And the movie didn't deter us from riding on the "silver bird" last week for a vacation out west.
  13. While I used to be into R/C boats and also an R/C boat club back in the 90's, that was a long time ago as I've been out of it since 'bout '98. I would suggest that you take your boat to a hobby shop that handles R/C cars, trucks, planes, and or boats and they should be able to help you out.
  14. In the early 2000's I used to enjoy the Toledo shows greatly, however nowadays I don't enjoy the long drive and there are a lot less vendors than there used to be. I haven't been there since 2011 and don't know if I'll make another trip out that way.
  15. Welcome to the forum Nick, as this is a great place to be. Sometimes a real circus, but still fun. Would love to see your builds, and I sent you a message. Nick
  16. Yes, that would be a great idea to wear one of those for 'bout a month.
  17. I remember in the mid-60's using a meat slicer in the deli and checkin' out a young lady at the same time. Oops, I sliced the tip of my pinkie finger. Talk 'bout DUMB! I still have a tiny line on my finger where it happened after all these years.
  18. I'm likin' it, being a native Chicagoan, I've seen hundreds, maybe thousands of taxi cabs in my life. Nice build.
  19. Mine is the Don Nicholson wersion with a 1997 copy write date on the box.
  20. I've heard that the body was not right, however I haven't opened my kit up as yet and have no idea what's wrong with the body. Is there any truth to this, or no?
  21. Wow, your Bird is lookin' good so far.
  22. I heard that all the vendor spaces are sold already, and I think that there'll be a good crowd at hand. This is the first of an annual show and some of the club members are also members of the AMG club that host the Milwaukee NNL every April. Here is a copy of an early flyer and the times are 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. for the swap meet and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. for the NNL.
  23. Hmmm, I'll have to remember that, and where can I get those pointed swabs? Thanks.
