  1. Shopping for a new vehicle and the salesmen didn't have brochures for the vehicles I was interested in. Well one did, took me for a ride, explained a lot about items on the dash, then let me drive it, then showed me the service and waiting area, and seemed to want my business. More shopping tomorrow.
  2. Over the years and to this day I have NEVER been on EVIL-bay and I seem to be doin' just fine. I have plenty of kits in my "stash" and the number of kits I would like, I could count on one hand. It works for me.
  3. Other than the LIndberg "Lawman" kit, nothing else interest me. Guess I'm already too saturated with kits?
  4. I caught a bit of that on the news the other night. I've seen lots of bald eagles over the Mississippi river and also in Alaska.
  5. Congrats Carl, as I'm 'bout 31 1/2 years smoke free and it was a great choice for me.
  6. Round 2 website has changed to www.round2corp.com
  7. In just three weeks from today is the Milwaukee NNL # 24 on Saturday April 9th, 2016 from 3 -9 p.m. at the Excellence Center Waukesha in Waukesha, Wisconsin located at N4 W22000 Bluemound Road. There will be LOTS of models on display as we get 6 - 7 - 800 + cars, rock 'n roll music, a giant raffle, club displays, and manufacturer displays as well. For more info: E-Mail mdowd@wi.rr.com or scottiek1@charter.net Always a good time and there is a swap meet the following day. Hope to see some of you there.
  8. Very nice Wayne, awesome build!
  9. Very nice build Greg, as I finished one a few years ago and was happy the way it came out. The front end on mine somehow managed to line up pretty good with the rest of the car. Sometimes ya just gotta get lucky I guess?
  10. The last line seems to be a "given" these days.
  11. I've seen Trophy Series models molded in black and or Grey that were polished out and they looked drop-dead-gorgeous.
  12. At a swap meet a couple weeks ago I saw MRC sets of Cragar and Keystones w/tires goin' for $30 per set. I was eyein' 'em, but I think that I have enough wheels/tires for quite awhile at the rate I'm completing kits.
  13. Welcome to the forum Roger, as this is a great place to be.
  14. I'm a big fan of the American Graffiti movie, so George Lucas has my vote.
  15. Uh-oh...................................
  16. What Richard said, and it should come out like this...............................................
  17. Sounds like "a lot of work." It would be a big undertaking and would probably take awhile to get the business going "full steam," especially if Don & Carol aren't willing to train anyone either.
  18. Hmmm, so I'm not too old to learn new things. I mostly work with "virgin" plastic so some of this is new to me. Thanks for your help.
  19. Would you use the same grit polishing cloths as when you polish out a paint job, or no? I use 4,000 - 6,000 - 8,000 & 12,000 grits.
  20. ALL good things must come to an end.
  21. I'm likin' it Mike, of course I just love dem Mopars!
  22. Wow, I just love that Merc as it's beautiful! I usually wait 20 minutes between coats and spray the clear coats 24 hours later. Most modelers have their own way of spray painting their cars, and the time between coats and number of coats will vary.
  23. Awesome job on that dragster as I can almost hear it "cackle."
  24. Will it work on older builds that probably aren't glued with CA glues also?
  25. I use as FEW coats of primer, color, and clear as not to bury the details of the models in paint.
