Portillo's hamburgers are good as well. That's been a favorite for my better half and I for awhile now. Of course we still like the beefs, dogs, fries, tamales, and all that "heart attack" food also.
I'm fortunate enough to be able to store my unbuilt kits in my house and keep them in a climate controlled environment. I have PLENTY of kits and am currently "thinning the herd" as I don't need a zillion kits anymore. I can see where other modelers have storage issues, which will always increase when your "stash" gets bigger.
Congrats, as being a grandparent is cool. Whether a boy or girl, just so it's healthy. Prayers seem to help. My new (7 months) grandson is coming over tomorrow for awhile. I myself liked to be called "papa" by my grandchildren. Enjoy!
The kit re-issues have never been exciting as back-in-the day, as they are just re-issues and not new kits like they were back then. I looked forward to "new" kits back-in-the-day, and now they're just ho-hum. I guess that comes with age?
I like the rechargeable batteries and also have a spare. Last year I had a "film" camera before I bought the Nikon. I really like not having to change rolls of film and loading the camera. My wife is slowly dragging me into the 21st century. LOL!
I bought a Nikon COOLPIX P520 camera last year and I just love it. I've taken model pics, car show pics, baby pics, Niagara Falls pics, vacation pics, etc. Sure glad I bought it, and lookin' forward to usin' it a lot this year as well.
Greg, the cities & towns don't like banks because they don't generate any tax revenues. Jim, The Tilted Kilt is another sports bar chain, and the ones in my area have good food. If the TGI Friday's chain ever closes down, I'll just go somewhere else to eat as there is PLENTY to choose from around her. No sweat.
Tom, you ought to know by now that Friday's won't fail, they've been in business for years now and the one by me seems to do real well. I've never had a problem there in all the years I've been going there. Having them "fail" is just wishful thinking on your part. If you don't care for Fridays, there are MANY other's to choose from.
Guess you and the wife will have to find another restaurant Tom. No matter how much you complain, that restaurant is going to go on, "business as usual," it's that simple.
Looks great Aaron, as back-in-the-day I lived just a couple miles from Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge. I have one of those kits in my stash somewhere, and I have heard that the PL kits can be tricky at times.
New rotors at 82,000 miles? Guess I got lucky with my truck as I didn't get rear brakes and rotors 'til 121,000 miles and the front ones lasted 'til 127,000 miles.
If you want a curbside model car, just glue the hood shut and build the rest of the kit. Curbside usually means no engine, and slammer or slammed usually means no engine or interior.
