  1. Wow! Absolutely Wow! Curt that is an amazing collection of builds. The range is great too from classic hot rods to great F1 cars. Thanks for showing all of 2011's builds at once to show your diversity.
  2. Hey Derek! Welcome to the forum! Beautiful LFA Nurburgring. Job well done sir!
  3. Mine comes in an envelope as well. Many times the envelope has been well mangled but usually the magazine survives. Usually once the guys in the U.S.A. start saying they've received theirs, I know mine will be along in a month so for example issue 163 that they are now discussing I know I should receive by about January 23. And I hoard magazines as well about 3 filing cabinets and several boxes so far (although I am starting to divest some...well trying.....sorta....).
  4. On Boxing Day I bought one of the Mercedes DTM kits and was going to buy after market decals to do Bruno Spengler's car. Now they are coming out with a kit in his livery. Now I have a decision to make.... On the other hand those 2 Ferrari's 599's do sound interesting.
  5. Motor Racing Miniatures(?) I think. I recall it as a good mag but I never managed to get many copies. This cd could be interesting.
  6. I'm such an idiot. I knew basically what it was. I knew Daimler and I wanted to confirm model # and try to pin down year but stupid me never got around to doing the search and replying to Harry. What a dweeb! Where's that wet noodle...
  7. I resolve to get at least 1 built! But that has been a standing resolution for too may years now.
  8. Saw the 1;1 at R&M Restorations in Chatham, Ontario, Canada on our way to the Detroit NNL this year. Unfortunately didn't have the camera with me when we went in and we closed the place as we looked around so we had no chance to go back to get pics. Picked the reissued kit up at the NNL so was really kicking myself for not having taken the camera in when I had the chance. Thanks for posting the info and pics of the real thing and thanks for your in box review.
  9. Congrats to both of you on really nice Dupont/Craven builds. I had forgotten they sponsored him first before Jeffy.
  10. You've come a long way Nick! Some great builds there especially love the Metro Toronto 57 Chevy. Keep building & sharing!
  11. That's a very uteful build! Seriously, great concept. Rally support vehicle maybe? Thanks for sharing.
  12. You know I like phantom cars of all kinds but for some reason I don't like the phantom convertible Superbird. I guess I feel the aero stuff just doesn't work without the fastback roof. It is a beautifully restored/modified car though.
  13. Oooh! Ooooh! Ooooh! Mr Cottter! I mean Mr P! I know what it is! But what year? Hmmm...
  14. Derrick, you have really great models there! I don't know if I could pick a favourite as they are all really well done.
  15. That's a great diorama base Very realistic. Job well done sir!
  16. That's a great build of a classic race car. And you just can't go wrong with Martini livery. Thanks for sharing.
  17. Wow! Sweet little Nova! It really has the sleeper look perfectly! I can see some unsuspecting dude in a Roadrunner getting his doors blown off because he mistakenly thought that was a 6 cyl. car. Very cool and period correct.
  18. Great job Brian! Your sister should be very happy with it.
  19. I'm afraid I'm like Boreham. Many bought - none completed. That said I have spent more time working at them in the past 6 months than I have in the past 5 years so I am confident that 2012 will see at least one completed model roll out of Rolling Sands Shop.
  20. Austin, I don't think the thinner for Tamiya's acrylic jar paint will affect the Tamiya spray paint once it's cured. If possible try an experiment on a spare body or left over parts and see what happens.
  21. Hey Mike! Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to take a drive to our local Crappy Tire and check it out.
  22. Oooohhh! Missed the driver when I voted. I thought it looked like a model on a table with the background photoshopped in. But the driver could be photo trickery too. That Harry is a crafty one! So to save face I'm sticking with model....
  23. That's a cool flock of Chebby lowriders! Well done!
  24. That's one sweet Impala! Love the colour combo and the choice of wheels. Job well done sir.
  25. WOW! That is a fine hot rod Bruno! Job well done sir. The graphics including the Quebec license plate really set it off. Tres bien, Monsieur.
