  1. That's one I was thinking of as well. Also, a couple of the Fujimi Ferrari kits. But, without access to my kit stash, I have no basis to tell other than photos.
  2. As stated, the AMT kit is a parts bonanza. I have the Revell Snap 63 to kitbash with their 67. Need to drop the disc brakes for drums and a couple other things and you get a much more accurate model
  3. I have no idea as they are from the Vendor's web page. My stuff is 2000 miles away at the moment at the new house. They look like wheels included in the AMT 62 TBird kit, but could also be from sports car kits. All my kits are at the new house so I can;t get at them right now
  4. My bad. HW store lacquer thinner is supposedly medium grade or get a medium grade at the auto supply. I haven't bought auto supply lacquer thinner for some time so have no comparison on cost versus the HW store. The lacquer thinners I have in the stash are Mr. Color, Tamiya, HW store.
  5. And I just messaged Bob and he said medium grade HW store lacquer thinner works fine. I use my Tamiya and Gunze Lacquer thinners for some paints (such as my remaining Cobra Colors).
  6. On the test body I tried it on, it did. I used an Iwata Gravity feed cup airbrush. I did not have time to do more than the test because I needed to "close the shop" for the move. I will get back to it after the move is complete and the paint booth set up. If necessary, contact Bob and ask his recommendation. He told me at the DuPage swap meet about a year ago to try the hardware store lacquer thinner.
  7. I have used the lacquer thinner you buy in Hardware Store Paint section. I experimented with it and it seemed to work well. As a plus, I use the same to thin Testor Enamel paints. Give it a try, as it is inexpensive and PPG thinner (if you can find it) is not.
  8. You are looking for sources to create the photo etch? Or also do the art work? Or?
  9. Inspired by this show car One could probably do the extra work to replicate.
  10. Replicas and Miniatures did. Need to contact Norm if still available
  11. I guess I'm lucky I have an original 1969 GP, as I doubt there is an easy retrofit. But, you never know.
  12. I have this resin kit that the 62 Tbird can be the donor to complete
  13. My "haul" from the C.A.R.S. in Miniature Christmas/Holiday party. The 71 T'Bird was from the Santa Grab Bag and the rest from the raffle. Of course, this now gets added to the stuff that needs to move to the new house.
  14. Excluding the down time due to the cross country move, my build rate has yet to change from pre-retirement levels. Maybe after settling in the new home that will change, but a lot of things have occupied my time such that I am almost as "busy" as before retiring.
  15. That cutout groove appears to be what would be done for the Open Road Camper? Could be they will resurrect that one? Still need the side windows though.
  16. I've experienced that as well. That is why I often reduce the detail level of a build. Otherwise, I tire of it, put it on the shelf and move on to another project. When I get back to some of them, they no longer interest me.
  17. Start here and see if it helps get you going. The big thing in CF decals is setting at the right angle and matching the join lines of the 1:1. Sometimes template sets are offered. I know that I will apply a coat of Micro Scale decal film as these decals are very thin and can break easily. https://www.scalemotorsport.com/tutorials-sect.html
  18. You may be right. But, a Cosworth Vega would be nice
  19. Also do a search for Aoshima wheels, Eightyone wheels and Hobby Design wheels. These are 1/24 scale, so an 18" is essentially a 19" in 1/25 (close enough). Keep in mind that you may need to get tires as well.
  20. Be more specific on rims. Do you mean wheels or the aluminum sleeves that will accept wheel centers? Are you looking for modern wheels or period correct?
  21. That is why we're moving back to Washington State. Even though I grew up in the Chicago area, I am more of one passing through from time to time due to family and work.
  22. I seem to recollect they did one in mid-70's but I didn't buy as I was too busy at work with a job change and new organization. I recollect it as a one year only. Maybe I'm dreaming, Or maybe it was proposed and never showed up (Ghost Kit). Anyway, would be nice to have a Cosworth Vega
  23. AMT C4 Vette's initially, and then went into a lot of "street machine" or big/little applications. Tread is asymmetrical, if I recollect correctly. Currently I'm 2000 miles away from the stash, so can't check.
