  1. almost like starting a new thread or unlocking an existing one?
  2. maybe he just needed to borrow some rolling papers? besides, everyone knows reefer makes you aggressive. good grief; the real stoners are the guys turning laps at 35 mph.
  3. good fotki site!
  4. the retainers look about 2" thick. (not wide) didn't someone already make these?
  5. glad that's been cleared up
  6. there's usually three prices for everything: seller's asking, buyer's, actual sale.
  7. opening presents a little early
  8. sounds like a bunch of old ladies going through "the change"
  9. after a struggle of epic proportions.... the guy is "gionc" gdetailfactory but after reading the thread, it sounds like a real pain in the backside to get a set.
  10. yeah, huh? well, we're back in the game now. the owner found one of the items I had ordered (2) of caused the jump in ship cost, so he refunded it to my credit card. we're back to liking Detail Junkee now and eagerly awaiting the shipment.
  11. Scott - maybe check your auto-correct .... unless that is what you meant?
  12. "let no good deed go unpunished"
  13. nope. just placed an order and paid double for S&H ($10.50). it was the correct price UNTIL I changed the quantity of an item from (1) to (2). saving grace was a free $8.00 steering wheel with "secret code " (rufuscrow) so I basically paid $7.50 for S&H and can now move on with my life .... s i g h .......
  14. the website has a pull down menu to choose the shipping destination (country) then you go through the order process and shipping is line itemed at the credit card entry page. even if the owner acknowledges the second overcharge, I'm reluctant to do internet business with Detail Junkees
  15. so at the owner's request from the other forum, I tried the order a second time. I was only charged double S&H. this isn't the way to do business in the 90's.
  16. trying to place an order for photo etch and being charged 4x the stated amount for S&H. second try on advice from the owner, I was charged only 2x, so maybe I should be happy. nope; if this guy wants business his website should run properly. he's been around over a year.
  17. anyone know of a dealer for these products? after watching one of dr cranky's videos, I tried to place an order direct this morning - there was going to be a 21$ ship & handle fee for a $38 order. but it did include a "free" steering wheel in exchange for a secret password ..... from the Lay It Low forum, I am concluding the company is in Texas, so customs can't be the excuse. obviously I did Not complete the order; OK- update: DJ got back to me with the McGuffin - S&H should be $5.25 flat rate - that's real & fair to me.
  18. don't electrical sparks and gas make combustion? inside the cylinder or out, it's got the makings of a real gow-job
  19. don't let it bother you; it's an internet forum. there's some good help here, and you'll soon separate the sheet from shinola. hobby-on! and, as you indicated, "free entertainment"
  20. love the D/A flathead in post #44
  21. did you skip your medication this weekend? posts are a little wacky from this thread to the malcom locked thread, and everything in between. something seems a bit odd, ever for here.
  22. The Fastest Indian Anthony Hopkins makes the Burt Monro character seem real
  23. I'd rather see something a little on the ragged edge, maybe the owner's first build or he's still learning, than go to a street rod cruise night and see all the jelly-bean cookie cutter rides.
