  1. you're gonna need an adapter plate. JC Whitney?
  2. maybe a piece of tubing at slow speed in a moto-tool?
  3. no free replacement issues!
  4. Mark - if you go to the MM website, it's not labeled or claimed to be NWSL. there's a pattern in the catalog of things resurfacing as proprietary items.
  5. don't let yourself get overwhelmed with making everything perfect on the first one. most of all, enjoy it!
  6. I have used both (NW Shortline versions) and would say they have a place. the chopper uses a razor blade, and leaves the cut end at a bevel - matching the honed edge of the razor - so that needs to be taken into account. the duplicator is okay depending on the required degree of accuracy. I used neither to their full capability. I use a single edged razor blade, dividers & metal scale rule to cut almost everything. but then I am slow to build and have no production quota.
  7. they have useful stuff, and also a bunch of stuff that doesn't need to be. a 15.25 seam scraper? I also cringe when I see things like "the duplicate it" - an obvious copy of the NE Shortline tool of the same name. maybe the legalese ran out, but good grief, at least change the name and make people think you did something innovative.
  8. fantastic labor of love. I'd appreciate the file, too, if you're not inundated with others' requests. thanks.
  9. just don't make a "hot dogs and buns" combination. you know? the dogs are an 8 pack, but the buns are a 10? so to come out with an even amount of dogs and buns you need to buy ..... and someone always gets shorted!
  10. Harry P. said "New builders don't care whether a kit is new or a reissue..." had no idea there was a spokesperson election; guess I should have renewed!
  11. it's a slice of real life for too many; good job. the diorama tells a story.
  12. I'm just wondering why the ads are back. haven't had one in weeks.
  13. hah! interesting website, that.
  14. AMT 1/12 scale cord and Aurora HO scale slot car set to go with my trains.
  15. seat looks a little uncomfortable
  16. gotta love them '32s
  17. 22 cents! that's the real give away - must be about 1964. nice job, too.
  18. interesting albeit 'off-topic'. there's Curbside Dioramic metal '32 & '28 Ford frames shown on that website. not sure if it's currently available, but someone is always looking for these. although I've come to understand they're a bit finicky to assemble.
  19. 'competition resins' has some parts. 'vintage drag models' is a forum that might help.
  20. tapered reamer works pretty good; probably would be good to have more than one option so you could adapt to each circumstance.
  21. 1/32 narrow gauge railroad models (including structures)
