  1. maybe more of a HAMB question, but is there a known source of dated speed equipment companies? this would be a great resource if, given its absence now, one of the Guru's could assemble a list of manufacturers, products available, and the years business began & ended.
  2. yeah; i was going to say that ...
  3. is this what you need: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=64504&hl= see post #21
  4. netflix link: http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/Boys_of_Bonneville/70247982?trkid=496624
  5. on a relative note, how long should the wait be between primer and paint? i've heard everything from 24 hours to 30 days. i don't build so fast it matters, but once in a while i get some blocks of time where this information would be helpful. thanks
  6. just remember to tell Bobby Jo, Billy Jo, & Betty Jo that Gomer & Goober say "Hey!"
  7. could try digging around here: http://www.thedpmcc....tionsintro.html and if they're not already there, you can ask here: http://modelinstructions.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=requests

  9. some railroad guys have the courage to use these: http://www.railwaymo...log/materials/7 these are 2 mm which is about 2" in 1/25 scale. style leaves a little to be desired http://www.railwaymodels.com/content/2mm-highhttp://www.railwaymodels.com/content/2mm-high pickup an Optivisor if you don't already have one!
  10. Verlinden also has some part #2520 if you've gotten the courage to work with photoetch http://www.verlindenonline.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=1916 http://www.verlinden...915763122838614
  11. i might interject an observation which may, or may not, be pertinent to the issue. when some modelers describe their builds, and i know who you are because i read the threads, i quite often see "i channeled the coupe 1/4"" or "the top has been chopped .160". so if everything is being thought of in scale, why wasn't there a 3" channel or 4" chop? there is near perfection demanded from the manufacturers, but we're not holding up our end of the deal. i find the inconsistancy quite annoying.
  12. sewing needle eye & single strand of picture hanging wire
  13. has anyone counted these yet?
  14. some stuff will bend under the (incandescent) light over the hobby bench. i also hold superglued joints up to the light to get them to kick. it's my offering gesture to the Hobby Gods!
  15. neither are prototypically correct
  16. is the final product going to be a car? or truck? i'm submerged in the details but can't understand the overall project.
  17. yeah; pay attention you guys!
  18. i'm just dying to see this build completed
  19. if the track is equal, that would work. but if the front & rear are dissimilar it would not. you would need a 'four-square' wheel arrangement.
  20. can the rear end be mounted like that? to get it lowered?
  21. i'd internet search and head toward one of the military modeler sites. this is mostly rust, but a fun site nevertheless http://blog.modeljunkyard.com/
