exactly. now how do i get the screen to lay flat?

anyone have a good way to make a radiator core more detailed than kit supplied? top & bottom metalwork doesn't seem too difficult, but in between is no man's land. i've thought about wrapping screen around a plug, and have seen model railroaders drill stacked styrene strips and slide wire through, but thought there must be a better way. something i've never seen in aftermarket parts. thanks

some early 60's AMT Styline kits had a tube of putty. it was about as useful as Plastic Wood and was usually hardened in the tube when you bought the kit.

i've gone through the drawered bins and clear organizer boxes. now i'm all about 2 sizes of zip lock bags and they all go into catalog file boxes. living in small digs sometimes means camouflaging your stuff.

not sure if it's the same type of product, but could you use balsafoam? it's fairly easily attainable in small quantities at art supply stores. http://www.sculpt.com/catalog_98/craft/BalsaFoam.htm
