  4. resin is generally thicker than styrene. may influence your choice, but often there is only a resin body available for specific vehicles. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Downloads/Product/PDF/R/resintips.pdf http://reviews.ebay.com/Working-with-Resin-Model-Kits?ugid=10000000002768635 http://armorcast.com/Armorgeddon/index.php?topic=16.0 http://armorcast.com/Armorgeddon/index.php?topic=16.0 these are just some general information sites from a "dogpile" search

  11. maybe dremel cut off wheel and a Very steady hand!
  12. i used to collect model railroading magazines from the 40's & 50's. there were great articles about men who built scale steam engines from brass in little apartments on their kitchen tables. a hobby is supposed to be a pleasureable pastime, not a second job. if you're looking at it as an obligation, maybe it's time to take a break or try something different. and it's not about how much $$$ can be spent on aftermarket goodies, but imagination & innovation. see it in your mind, and find a way to make it come alive.
  13. thanks for the pictures and link on the blue roadster
  14. Bernard, any pictures of the little blue roadster in your signature? thanks
  15. i am going to sign up for the express purpose of convincing the casters to market a NAPCO set of running gear to convert early 50's trucks to 4 WD. anybody with me?
  16. i'm glad i'm a modeler instead of a gardener!
  17. don't overwhelm him. save the tricks for the next one and the one after that. and let him discover things on his own.
