  1. I remember when Monogram kits in the 80's were plagued with warpage problems ! I don't know how many 1986 Monte Carlo kits I bought that had warped chassis , interior 'bucket' , and , to a lesser-extent , bodies . To their credit , they sent replacement parts with zero problems . Revell kits in the 90's were coming with warped bodies , too . Not all of them ; specifically , the (first issue) Sox & Martin 1967 'RO23' Belvedere . I received two replacement bodies "just in case" , and both were good . Too bad about Moebius' kits having warping issues . As gman stated : not enough cool down time is being alloted before boxing / packing the product(s) . That's exactly why Monogram and Revell kits were warping .
  2. No takers ... Okay , this is Mary Woronov , 1966 Andy Warhol 'Screen Test' . She was a dancer in the travelling Exploding Plastic Inevitable show in '66-'67 with the Velvet Underground , and she starred in many of Warhol's 60's films ( Chelsea Girls , etc ) , and in Rock & Roll High School , and as the 'mother' in the Suicidal Tendencies Institutionalized video .
  3. - Here's a link to some resin Cragar GT's : http://scenesunltd.com/products/cragar-gt-s24 - Either the Sox & Martin or the 1967 Coronet 'Drag-On Lady' kit . - You should be able to source a Dana 60 from the new Revell 1970 Hemi'Cuda kit .
  4. J'adore the colour choices ; an outstanding build !
  5. Splendid Cameo , mon frier ! Excellent photography as usual , too .
  6. Nice !!! The '55-'57 Fords are such beauties (and the '58-'59 models as well) , and your '57's represent their beauty quite well .
  7. In 1976 ( June / July ) I was with my parents , visiting family in Pennsylvania and Ohio . One of my aunts had a 1974 Caprice , and its quarters were already rotting-away ; same with the lower-front fenders , and the doors' edges . I was 6 years old , so the line-of-sight with that oxidation was right in line with me ! Ha ha ha ! Ever see a vehicle that's resided near a beach ? Even California cars rust-away ...
  8. I just watched Murder , My Sweet (1944) this past weekend . I love me some Noir , especially the classic L.A. Noir ( Bunker Hill ! ).
  9. The wheels look to me like they're Cragar GT's , which are ostensibly different from the more common S/S models . The hood scoop is from the 1967 Coronet Super Stock ( 'WO23' ) . Are you planning to change the differential to the correct Dana 60 ? The kit's piece is the 8 3/4 diff , which is incorrect for a Hemi / 4-speed .
  10. Venus in Furs ?
  11. Even better : Leaving Las Vegas ! Oh my god ! All of that leather !
  12. She looked so delicious in Bullitt !!
  13. The beltline moulding should be 'peppered' with rust bubbles and rot-out , too . My personal rust-free California '72 Coronet had rust along the same moulding
  14. I've had the best luck with Krylon or Duplicolor aerosol 'chrome' . It can be sprayed over any-colour basecoat (flat or gloss) and the results are the exact same ! It's also very durable ; not fragile like Alclad (which just seems like a colossal pain in the ____ to apply , from beginning to end . And , of course , having to handle it like a Faberge Egg doesn't help its cause in my opinion).
  15. Here's a head scratcher :
  16. Thank you for sharing that photo-album ! Very nice feline family . I always look forward to your excellent builds , and this Class of 1957 is no exception . Keep up the great work !
  17. That's why I qualified my responce with , "It's one year earlier than the '67, but ..." . The '66 Monogram was merely a suggestion . I agree with the don't condemn an entire brand based on one kit assessment .
  18. Nice video , Tulio ! Do I detect a slight Germanic accent ? Quite nice of you to show your two feline companions . They look like total sweethearts !
  19. Get the Monogram '66 GTO instead . Sure , it's one year earlier than the '67 MPC (and its 50 years old tooling and core-shift !) , but you won't have to rework every little piece !
  20. I agree with you about the 1968-1969 Chevelle 2 door 'pillard coupe' ( 300 Deluxe ) ! I'd especially like to see a '69 post with the Super Sport package (the only year for the SS to be available on any bodystyle). After seeing that Berger Cranberry Red '69 L34 300 Deluxe , I had to have one (only , in scale though . Can't afford a real one !) . You've hit on some-thing with the Tempest / Le Mans idea . Revell *could* turn their '66 GTO into a Tempest with a Sprint 6 !
  21. I used to joke that I could build that Monogram BOSS 429 in my sleep ! The 1970 GTX was right there , too . The JoHan stuff was in its 1980's "U.S.A. Oldies" stage by the time I found the first one (at a toy store in El Monte and at the La Habra Fashion Square) . While I liked the subject matter (still do !) I found their flash-riddled kits to be a burden for my skill level at that time . I'm telling you ; hindsight is 5150 !
  22. 1967 Dart GTS 1970 Dart Swinger 340 1971 'Cuda 440+6 1972 Barracuda 340 with a Hemi variant (obviously not stock) 1967 El Camino 1967 Chevelle Wagon 1970-1971 Cutlass / 4-4-2 2-wheel-drive version of the 1980 F-100
  23. Here's a diagramme / spec sheet on the Ramchargers' 1967 Dart Funny ( I got my initial info turned around ; a fibreglass roof , and apparently it had an acid dipped body ! )
