Should look lovely in GW3 Bright White (Sno-White in Plymouth nomenclature). One of these in my stash is slated for GW3 as well, with the black/orange interior (oh, how I wish that one of the resin / 3D folks would make a console-less bucket , with the bench seat treatment... more interior colour choices that way !) Have you considered building it with the blue 340 ? IIRC, those came along by c.May 1971.

AMC Cowboy...think El Ramblero

Definitely resembles the styling cues of a Ute , its B-pillar especially. Surely this was a concession , but it nevertheless strongly resembles the Utes I've seen (the Dart and Valiant in particular). I saw this video's thumbnail a week or so ago but I never watched it - so much "click-bait" around, and this video definitely presents itself as just that , more so with that headline. -
Head was a fun film starring the Monkees ; the title a spoof an an unmentionable Andy Warhol film

I stand corrected. Urban legend for years ( I grew up none too far from East L.A. ) was that the Love Machine was "The Gypsy Rose under construction..." Of course, that seemed to make sense : another G.R. being built in the late 1970's didn't seem - to us - a far fetched idea. Until today, I never bothered to research my now-archaic-and-incorrect info. -
Atlantis is doing the T.D. Pie wagon.

I remember how elated I was when the Pie Wagon was reissued in 1986. At that point it'd been 18 years since its original release -- that's an eternity to one who's 16 ! Haha. A neighbour had the kit - the 1968 issue - and it along with its box art enticed me. I was 6 or 7 when I first saw it ; my neighbour (10 years my senior) built it back then. I had to have one ! Its box art wasn't even close to being as cool as the 1968 original (typical bland 1980's stuff), but the contents were there. I'll hafta git one this time 'round. -
I wanta put that 8V92-T into a Tesla or a Leaf or a Prius !

Ah ! I'm not up on the differences between the '55-'57 (let alone other generations) 'birds. Hard to believe that the '56 is now 25 years old ! Holy Toledo ! I still had hair back then !

Flathead. Not sure which iteration of the Flattie, but it's definitely that engine (with a 3-speed manual, IIRC... last one I built was the 1986 (!!) reissue). -
I didn't realise that the '57 'bird was a (relatively) newer tooling. I'd be keen on that 1/16 scale Mustang... if its DLO and roof were fixed. Nifty that the AMT E-150 is coming around again. I need to grab a couple more of those rascals ! Now, if only the MPC E-150 of the same era were to be reissued...

Gypsy Rose ( colloq. , "Up In Smoke" Impala ) in its unfinished, as-featured appearance = sweetness ! I'm surprised at the 4 door CHP 1962 Chrysler Newport Enforcer - that must've been the year that the CHP started using 4 door units, no ? Don't forget the white steering wheel ! -
Families which resided in the Chatsworth area of the San Fernando Valley in the late 1960's were too aware of another "Family's" activities as Spahn's Movie Ranch

1971 Valiant Super Bee
1972coronet replied to 1972coronet's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Far out ! A true hardtop at that ! That roofline is the same as the 2 door coupe (and convertible) -- I'd be interested in seeing interior photos. The rear window regulators must be based on the '67-'68 Dart coupe ( "21" body style ). -
1971 Valiant Super Bee
1972coronet replied to 1972coronet's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I've seen a small handful of Mexico market A-bodies around over the years. Last one I saw for sale was a 1970 Dart GTS ( 270hp 318 , 4-speed ). For the life of me I can't recall if it had the Rallye gauges or the 'bar' speedometer. -
Ad - maybe brochure cover - for the 1971 Valiant Super Bee from Chrysler de Mexico (et alia). This would be easy to replicate in-scale , as other than its rims (Chevy rallye wheels are close, albeit with different centre caps) it's pure Duster. Emblems could be made via print-to-scale decals. Engine is either gold or silver (I can't recall which is correct for 1971) ; a 318 with essentially 340 top end (four barrel, unsilenced air cleaner).
