  1. Me , too . The 'Buddy Seat' was a cool option ; a 40/20/40 bench-type seat. Another interesting aspect of the AMT 1971 Charger R/T is its unadorned exhaust outlets ! Turndown exhaust exits are indicative of the N97 Noise Reduction Package .
  2. Very nice 205 Rallye , Ulf ! A friend of mine has one of *maybe* two or three 205 GTI models imported into the United States ! Really a nice car ; too bad that Peugeot's USA organisation decided that the 205 would not be marketable here ( )
  3. I was under the impression that the A-body ( Malibu / Chevelle , Cutlass , Skylark , LeMans / GTO , 1964-1977 ) and the G-body ( Grand Prix and Monte Carlo , 1969-1972 ) were *combined* into the A/G body from 1978 - 1982 , which became only A-body from 1983-1987 ? Never heard of the Malibu being adorned to the G-body platform .
  4. With the D-Dart option , please !
  5. Here's a link to original brochures for the 1971 Charger models' interior choices : http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/dealerships/1971ColorAndTrim-02.shtml Note that all R/T's had bucket seats ; console was optional (yes , bucket seats with a column-shift auto was standard !)
  6. "You can't sleep here ; the snails will crawl on your face."
  7. Groovy ! I wonder how well it takes to adding the AMT 1972 Chevelle SS-454 parts to it ?
  8. I say that Revell-Monogram's ancient 1970 Chevelle SS-454 , and AMT's carbon-dated '65 GTO and '67 GTO moulds should be given Valhalla !! We want need new toolings of those kits ; and the only way that's gonna be a reality is if those Old Testament , reissued-ad-nauseam tools are destroyed !
  9. C'mon , Revell ! Do it to it with an '83 - '87 Cutlass (3-in-1) !!
  10. I'd be happy with a cargo / panel body if the stock and 2X4 parts are restored / unblocked .
  11. I know that that's the only reason that I'd buy one ! Two wheel drive parts and stock parts .
  12. Just like their "1:1" counterparts ; both are F-Bodies , but that's where any similarities begin and end .
  13. I'm fairly certain that vehicles with oxidisers on their engines had an "AA" or "AB" (ad seq.) prefix ; for example : "A/SC" for naturally-aspirated , and "AA/SC" for supercharged / turbocharged engines. But , like you've stated , Bonneville (et al.) may've had a different class system versus 1/4 mile , paved track-specific vehicles .
  14. How about a Toro-Flow GMC diesel ?
  15. *Maybe* a Chevrolet 'W' engine could be used as the basis . The rocker covers and heads are close ; probably a cut-and-invert would work . I believe that the spark plugs are on the intake-side of the ports ? Ignition distributor on the rear of the block , sticking straight-back ? As a side note ; the early engines' biggest handicap was its atomiser : a tiny , single-pot carb ! I think that a 305 (ad seq.) would look sweet with a 4v71 Jimmy sitting-atop .
  16. I'm not even certain that any of the GMC "big block" V6 engines ( 305 , ad seq. ) were ever produced in-scale , let alone the "Twin-Six" . I've been wanting to plunk a Jimmy'ed GMC V6 into a Street Rod !
  17. At the risk of sounding patronising ; Rick , please accept my most sincere condolences . Back in 2005 , my mum was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer ; she succumbed to its advances on 4th Octobre 2005 at 2345 HRS . I was holding her hand when she passed . Keep strong , Rick .
  18. Whittier Blvd @ Interstate 605 ... Just the kind of Lowrider that I used to admire as a youth in west Whittier ! Excellent work !
  19. "I Wasn't Born to Follow" -Byrds
  20. Harts Parts is excellent ! I purchased his 'LO23' interior conversion for the Revell 1968 2-n-1 Dart GTS / Hurst , and it is beautiful ! Highly recommended !
  21. HA ! It's so disgusting ! Some-thing so Jurrasic about smelling Soy and chicken while consuming oatmeal ! BARF !
  22. The MPC-come-AMT "Roscoe's Patrol Car" (a 1977-1978 Dodge B-Body Monaco) kit has some nice firearms and lighting in its discreet packaging .
  23. My 'requests' : 1971-1972 El Camino and GMC Sprint 1972-1974 Charger
  24. Daily : Open-mouth chewing and other food-related sounds / noises from my dad . Once a Week : The microwaving of Chinese food leftovers while I'm eating breakfast (same person as mentioned above) . Ad Infintium : Brain dead people ; unnecessary traffic jams ; unattended-to children ; noisy children ; unsyncronised traffic lights ; and , my deteriorating health (a gradual process consisting of arthritis , pinched nerves , herniated discs , failling eye sight , and just a general mid-life crisis ).
