  1. Precisely what I meant ! Haha ! Commode-o Dragon.
  2. I think about those lizard droppings periodically - today was one of those days. IIRC, they were (still are ?) manufactured by / sold under the Bars Leaks product line ; a G.M. part number was assigned to them as well. Why is it that every image of the HT-4100 is of an exploded view ?
  3. Andy Warhol's Exploding Plastic Inevitable at The Castle (Hollywood Hill's Los Feliz district) , May 1966 . LT. - RT. : Mary Waronov , Gerard Malanga , John Cale , Sterling Morrison, Maureen "Mo" Tucker, Lou Reed , Nico , Andy Warhol .
  4. Movie of the Week on 13-11-1971 was Duel
  5. To add to @tim boyd's (informational) post : EB5 = 1969-1970 GB5 = 1971-1973 KB5 = 1974-1975 MB5 = 1976-19?? The first letter indicates year-of-origin (e.g., "E" = 1969 , ad seq.), then year-of-reformulation (e.g., "G" = 1971 , "K" = 1974 , "M" -1976) . It's possible to special order an earlier paint on a later vehicle (e.g., GB5 on a 1976 Duster), but not vice-versa (for obvious reasons). An invaluable resource is Hamtramck Historical (here's a paint chip page from 1971 ; you can search around from here : The 1970 Hamtramck Registry - 1971 Paint Chip Charts (hamtramck-historical.com) )
  6. Perhaps the white a/o lighter colour tillers were offered - or standard - in hotter climates ? Similar to the CHP-spec white steering wheel ?
  7. 'Traveler from Interzone', Dr. Benway mused just before performing an appendectomy by using a rusty sardine can
  8. My bratty barn cat ruined my computer monitor last night ! He chewed on the upper-right corner, thereby destroying the LCD of the screen. I'm going to make him sell lemonade and wash cars in the local Carl's Jr. parking lot until the 140$ is paid off !
  9. Thus far, I've purchased 5 of the Demons , 4 of the 1963 F-100s, and 4 of the 1960 F-100s ; last year I bought 2 of the Coronet convertible - I'm going to buy 3-4 of the hardtop. Likewise, I've purchased 2 each of the 1965 and 1968 GTOs , and 2 each of the 1963 Nova Wagons ( 1 each of the car-only curbside, and 1 each of the 'full detail' / trailer combo ). I would just die if the 1971/1972 Road Runner was to see a clone-and-improve treatment ! Especially if - as I've mentioned prior, ad nauseam , the 1971 RTS customising parts were included (similar to the custom parts in the 1972 annual). Thanks to @SteveG, @tim boyd, et alia , for their professional input and for keeping us posted with news, corrections, etc., etc.
  10. Definitely anything by Palmer (et alia). Beyond that, the balsa wood airplanes are a must. Sea Monkeys .
  11. Sol-power technically applies to everything on Earth, as it is, after all, a part of the solar system
  12. The one in the link is actually an original 1972 annual . That year was a one-and-done , updated to the 1973 ad sequitur . The 1987 issue is of the 1971 (complete with 1980s rims , which replaced the originals' Cragar S/S). Those can be had for $40 - $80 (with a handful of underwear smokers asking for $100+ for unbuilt samples). That being said : I agree that three C-notes is too much, 1972-only notwithstanding.
  13. "Percent" , or Per Cent , means "Of One Hundred" , per centuri
  14. "REST STOP IN 300 MI.", read the roadside sign on I-40 in Ludlow, Ca.
  15. "Nothing but the best'll do !" - Gary Gilmore
  16. To , Two , Too all sound the same, and must be confusing "to" those whose primary language isn't English
  17. I remember those - last time I saw them was about 20 years ago : - 1969 [?] AMC Machine - 1970 [?] Comet ; not sure if the same year Maverick was around concurrently ? - 1971 Barracuda All were in 'contemporary' livery (i.e., Pro Street... with fugly rims) and in Testors packaging. IIRC, that's about the time that Spiro Agnew (or whatever his name is) got involved in an ostensible capacity (the c.1957 Rambler Wagon, and the promo-style Chrysler Turbine - not sure if others were issued). I have a Cadillac Saville (or whatever their name was) era re-pop of the 1968 Plymouth Fury I Pursuit.
  18. "That Business Management degree an' two dollars will get you a cuppa coffee somewheres"
  19. Wishing in one hand, and "BLAH-BLAH-BLAH" in the other here - I hope that , should Round2 conjure up a 1974-1978 Mustang II kit in a similar vain as the '68 Coronets , etc. , that they see fit to include a Ford 9" rear for the P/S et al. versions.
  20. I love that store. I purchase almost exclusively from them, albeit online these days.
  21. I've been on my soapbox for more than 30 years about the "BLAH-BLAH-BLAH " 'quality' of 'workmanship' going into everything these days. Someone got a bonus for saving the company money - which is true for every bloated organisation in the U.S. ( I can't speak to other countries' standards). Ostensibly, it's easier to pay a lawsuit than it is to toe-the-line - again, true of any bureaucracy. It's like that ancient Greek philosopher said : His relative , Apathese, is quite prevalent these days, too.
  22. Raw Power is healing hand ; raw power can destroy a man
  23. Oxymoron was a name given to one whose proclivities were for a synthesised form of a poppy derivative
  24. I, too, would love to see a stock 1970 Duster 340 (with period-correct custom parts as an option), as one's never been kitted. I've long wondered as to why MPC didn't make an annual/promo of the then-new Duster (and the Dart Swinger for this matter). IMO, the new Demon would be a better starting point. While the AMT '71 Duster has lots of great aspects to it, some of its proportions are so-so (wiper blades and door handles are just blobs). I'd like to see Round2 tool up a breather and PCV for the (otherwise great) 340 engine in that kit.
