  1. Thanks for the prompt reply. I'll be watching your WIP progress for sure, esp. since I'm a lifetime lover of the 1972 Demon (the unique grille is its most alluring feature - not to mention the blue engine with orange air cleaner). Hopefully someone'll make a new resin 1972 grille for the new MPC 1971 kit.
  2. Where'd you get the 1972 grille ? Link, please.
  3. I ordered one from Auto World and it arrived Saturday. I still have orders in from the independent hobby store I purchase the majority of my kits and supplies from; still waiting on those. The reason I'd ordered one from A.W. is simply because I'm an impatient Celt, and I was obsessing over having one in my weathered mitts. "Satisfaction is the death of desire."
  4. To add to the hind-section issues of this kit : how about that incorrect differential ? Should be a Dana 60 ! This is the case in the 1967 GTX / RO23 , 1967 Charger, and this , the 1967 Coronet. Swap to a Torqueflite, and the 8.75" rear is correct - not sure which is less vexing, the swap to a Dana or the swap of transmissions.
  5. "Noun you can, savvy , never mind !", proclaimed Struan to May-May
  6. U.K. is on me list of places I'd love to visit and explore some day (would have to brush up on my Cymræg though...)
  7. Then there's Tama Tama (cat) - Wikipedia who was Super Stationmaster ( wish that I could've met her ).
  8. At the risk of my picking fly poop out of pepper - I agree regarding the subpar details of those rims... especially since Round2 went through the trouble to newly-tool them. Conversely : I'm sure that many will simply cover those centres with the included hubcaps, and barring that, will seek aftermarket / parts box replacements. Ne'er-the-less, a small 'issue' in the overall theme. Absolutely better than paying $1,000,000,000 for an original.
  9. "Goes for the win !", exclaimed Nguyen when he was standing in the wind
  10. I'm hoping that @Snake45 will chime in as well (not to diminish the others' contributions) .
  11. Style and class - I like to see a gal wearing glossy vinyl pants
  12. I'm rather fond of the en masse SUV's and sedans which are painted - what I call - East Berlin Grey or Iron Curtain Pearl . Talk about "inspired" or inspiring ! Bright paints on new(er) vehicles looks off to me ; resembling something like a Happy Meal toy or some-such.
  13. YOU MAKE ME _______________ , was what was scrawled across Richard Hell's chest on the cover photo of The Voidoids Blank Generation
  14. I was just wondering to myself the other day, I haven't seen anything recent from @mrmike - maybe he'll start a new project soon, I hope. , then I see no less than two W.I.P.'s here ! Not sure as to why I haven't pulled the trigger on getting one of these kits yet, especially since it's : - One of my favourite cars (G.M. A-bodies in general, but esp. the Olds) - Transmission options - Wonderfully detailed Definitely following, my good man !
  15. "Torbie" (portmanteau of "Tortoise Shell" and "Tabby") is likely the 'proper' - and actual - nomenclature Brie's marques. Beautiful tri-colour ! Here's another Oly photo, 27-5-2014 :
  16. "Camel Hump" SBC cylinder heads are highly desirable
  17. Child of the Universe , giving freely of herself
  18. Units of measure can sometimes be confounding
  19. 1/1 scale bird poopin' on 1/25 scale car every time
  20. Blues Festival whose entitlement was Benson & Hedges Blues Festival in June 1990. Featured many of my favourite artists / performers : - John Lee Hooker - Cab Calloway - Stevie Ray Vaughn (one of his last performances) - Dr. John And that's just from memory ! Second best ? Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives , 15-04-2022 , La Mirada Theatre . Marty - who happens to own and curate and play the hell out of Clarence White's Parsons-White B-Bender - and his band play more than Bluegrass . One of the finest renditions of the Count Five Psychotic Reaction ever ! Their version of Pretty Boy Floyd is pure dynamite ! Then there were the numerous Punk , Psychobilly, Bluegrass, Electronic, and Deathrock shows back in the late 80's / early 90's.
  21. One of the most attractive physical features of our feline friends : that permanent smile !
  22. How far away is the Joshua Tree Inn from you ?
  23. Los Angeles suburb originally ; now in "Chorizo Valley" ( southwest Riverside County region - think : casinos ). Really, like er'ry one else , I originally came from a positive chemical reaction.
  24. I'd like to see Tamiya offer a line of body colour paints for U.S. models (e.g., Chrysler GB5 blue , Grabber Green , Monaco Orange, Big Bad Blue, etc., etc.) in aerosol and bottle.
