  1. I'm thinking February - just like the '68 Coronet Convertible kept getting its release date pushed back.
  2. FWIW , Model Roundup exhibits a "Late December 2023" arrival for both F-Series and the 1971 Demon 340.
  3. I've witnessed my companions - superiors - interact with the 4th dimension -- talking, chasing, jumping , and following-with-their-eyes , entities which aren't obvious to us. Oliver Sabastian (the patchy Red Tabby BSH mix ) was the most vocal. I swear that he was communicating with Tao (my current companion ; black & white barn cat ) months before the former passed (age 17). he'd sit in the hallway, look-up at the ceiling, and start meowing. Around 2 months into his 'routine' , I heard a kitten's cry in the hallway where Oliver'd sit ! The first time I heard Tao cry, it was exactly the same cry I'd heard two months before I met him !
  4. I put that mess together a few years ago. It's my favourite Byrds album ( Notorious Byrd Brothers 1968 ) with McGuinn , Hillman, and Clarke, replaced with photos of my feline companions .
  5. AMT's 1965 GTO Craftsman-Plus . Tamiya TAS-60 Pearl Green ; Pledge (et alia) clear ; white interior with Tamiya Dark Green accents. Comments , Critiques, and ad homenin attacks welcomed .
  6. My sentiment exactly - looks perfect with those stock wheel covers (and, better still, it's not shod with dime-a-dozen Daytons or some other wire setup ! ) .
  7. I'll hafta grab one or two of the Cougar this time. The first version that I can recall seeing was the C.A.T. iteration from c.1983. The Racing Chumps release's box art was such a turnoff that I passed on it - wasn't until I've seen some buildups of the kit and the instruction sheet ( link on @Casey's profile / signature ) that my interest was piqued . I nab a copy or two of the Nova this time as well. I have the c.2015 Rod Squad reissue, waiting its turn in the queue.
  8. Natural lighting - appears as though Tao is working in the 4th dimension !
  9. Isn't the Dart Funny Car the '70 Ramchargers (et alia) model that's been issued as the Hemi Hunter (c.1983) ? Not sure if it's the same - or at least its basis - as the Charlie Allen L.A. Dart (1969) ? I don't believe that I've ever seen a Camaro -1967-1969 vintage - Funny Car from MPC. Perhaps the Dick Harrell kit ? We're not alone in hoping for a Mustang II kit ! I'd be keen on a 1975-1976 iteration - a build-up of the Gapp & Rousch Sudden Death car'd be too much fun !
  10. Hammer and Sickle got'cha inna pickle
  11. Goat in the Field is a funny song by the Men's Recovery Project
  12. The novel still mentions a 'Roadrunner' [sic] , but it's a metallic blue '69 model - and still has the "three-eight-three hemi" . I won't give away what happened to that car, just in case others haven't read the (excellent) book yet. Suffice it to say that its demise wasn't the same as the one in the film. Also mentioned are a dark green 1969 Charger , and a "three-ninety-six" , model not specified. A scale replica of the '71 R.R. from "...Eddie Coyle" is certainly possible. The interior of the film car, however, has a bench seat / column shift combo ; totally different upholstery pattern at that (and door panels - the base model cards). But, GY3 Curious Yellow is an easy find , as is the standard bonnet. A V1X vinyl top could easily be fabbed as well.
  13. African Wild Cat kittens !
  14. I cringed the first time I watched that scene. However, what was a 1 -2 year old 383 Road Runner worth at that time ? The novel is different in that aspect : no drama with cars at the Sharon train station.
  15. Siblings will bond (same as mum and her babies). I've seen many instances of bonding between two (or more) cats who weren't littermates , but rather they grew up together . Lovely companions you've got there ?
  16. You won't be disappointed with the novel (1970) or the film (1973). Both are outstanding.
  17. I thought that there was something "wrong" with the dash of the 'restored' example, but I couldn't be sure what was 'missing'. The stock, correct dash and instrument panel looks 1,000 times better (no comment on the paint job of the green one ...) . Funny how that trim / dash was considered 'barren' back then, when it looks downright delightful by today's standards.
  18. I'm willing to bet that the Road Runner [sic] will be around soon-ish. There seems to be a 50/50 split between those who desire a 1971 and a 1972 - both are similar in 1:1 anyhow. I'd be keen on the Imps coming back as well. I don't have me finger on the pulse of the Chevrolet B-bodies' popularity, though those two would seem to be quite popular.
  19. Pretty Things Midnight to Six , Man and L.S.D. are two of the finest 'Freak Beat' songs from the Swinging London era
  20. Stereo system with manual equallisers is the best on which to listen to mono albums
  21. A well executed 1969 Charger 500 model would be sweet ! Give it some 'Day Two' options (tyres, rims, ride height adjustments, etc.) as well.
  22. Slated to arrive this month/year , according to Model Roundup : Coming Soon (modelroundup.com)
  23. The ill-fated "replacements" for the "aging" A-bodies. The potential was there ; the execution was, shall we say, hasty. 1979 was their finest hour : 200hp E58 360 with an almost true dual exhaust.
  24. That colour looks to be JA5 Silver Frost , @tim boyd. It was a 1973-1974 reformulation of GA4 Winchester Grey (1971-1972), and the predecessor to LA5 (whose nomenclature I've forgotten). Lovely colour !
