  1. Stereo system with manual equallisers is the best on which to listen to mono albums
  2. A well executed 1969 Charger 500 model would be sweet ! Give it some 'Day Two' options (tyres, rims, ride height adjustments, etc.) as well.
  3. Slated to arrive this month/year , according to Model Roundup : Coming Soon (modelroundup.com)
  4. The ill-fated "replacements" for the "aging" A-bodies. The potential was there ; the execution was, shall we say, hasty. 1979 was their finest hour : 200hp E58 360 with an almost true dual exhaust.
  5. That colour looks to be JA5 Silver Frost , @tim boyd. It was a 1973-1974 reformulation of GA4 Winchester Grey (1971-1972), and the predecessor to LA5 (whose nomenclature I've forgotten). Lovely colour !
  6. I stand corrected, sir. Thank you for the clarification . I'm quite looking forward to viewing your build up of your copy !
  7. I'm really keen on the separate, clear styrene 'reverse' lamp lenses ! The 'Cragar S/S/' rims have an ostensible positive-offset, which makes them appear more like wheel covers - really, quite like Fenton Sharks as well. I only wish that the interior was platform (like the 1968 Coronet), or at least that its console were separate (no such an animal as console/manual trans in an A-Body - U.S. model - after the 1969 model year). Staying positive here ; that decal sheet is too nice ! Even the Sizzler decal and the bonnet stripes are included ! WOW ! I can't wait to get at least one (I've subsequently ordered more) - esp. since tomorrow's the 1st of December... and since @hpiguy already has a copy via Model Roundup ...
  8. Whose new year ? Lunar ? Just joking. I hope that this is a case of under promise, over deliver .
  9. Gifts are what Waldo Jeffers had in mind when he mailed himself to Marsha Bronson
  10. Ah ! You're enquiring about in 1:1 scale . Totally over me crust . I don't believe so ; I don't believe that any of those were based upon a 1:1 .
  11. I can't speak to the Dirty Donny series ; however, the AMT and MPC kits of the 1960s-early 1970s were indeed designed by the popular customisers of the day. Ostensibly, Jeffries's Monkeemobile was kitted by MPC in 1966 / 1967.
  12. Thank you much for the accolades . I can't possibly take full credit for my (fallible) knowledge ; my main source - when I question me own memory, or someone else questions my sources - is Hamtramck Historical The 1970 Hamtramck Registry Home Page (hamtramck-historical.com). The Sizzler stripes really make the car. Surely, 1971 was the model year which started the whole "Sticker Racer" era ( Nova Rallye, Chevelle Heavy Chevy , for two similar comparisons - though the latter could be had with the 402 cube Turbo Jet 400 ) . Different times for sure. That's when there was still a fledgling , functioning middle class in the U.S. - the 1980's ad seq. changed all of that.
  13. One-year-only , March 1971 introduction, A59 Demon Sizzler (the Demon version of the Duster Twister) . Here's a couple of ads from 1971 for the Sizzler :
  14. Correct menudo. 800 cfm ; 1971 was recalled and replaced with an updated version, making the date coded '71 T-Quad a hard find. 1972 saw the intro of the 850 cfm 'Quad for the then-new 400 , followed in 1973 by the 440.
  15. According to Hamtramck Historical . the upholstery pattern is correct (see image). FWIW, the upholstery was again changed for the 1972 Duster 340 annual ; it was updated again for the 1973-1975 Duster & mid-1975 to 1976 Dart Sport annuals, and any ad sequitur issues. I'm looking forward to following your build-up of the Kid P/S. I'm sure that your work will be just as nice as your 1971 Hornet P/S !
  16. I'm with you, and I wish to add : 1972 interior (markedly different vs. 1971) , including the dashboard. bench seat would be great, too.
  17. You're spot on , @tim boyd. I was thinking of the Scamp, whose wheelbase was shared with the Dart 2 door. Conversely to this ; I wonder just how 'extreme' the difference-in-scale would be for that 3" difference (108" vs. 111") between the Dart and the Duster (et al.) ?
  18. Doing a '70 Swinger 340 ( pretty please ! ) would be one step away from the 1971 Swinger Special 340 :Canada's Well Kept Secret: The 1971 & 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger 340 Special - Mopar Connection Magazine | A comprehensive daily resource for Mopar enthusiast news, features and the latest Mopar techMopar Connection Magazine | A comprehensive daily resource for Mopar enthusiast news, features and the latest Mopar tech
  19. 1970, 1971 , and 1972 models were used , all in FE5 red, and all with 1971-only 14" deluxe wheel covers.
  20. Three of those Valiant sedans were used, but all appeared similar: - 1970 with 318 - 1971 with 225 - 1972 with 225 (borrowed for the additional footage for the theatrical release)
  21. Wind whose origins are from The Great Basin (e.g., Santa Ana Winds, a/k/a , Los Vientos del Diablo , et alia) are unwelcomed by yours truly, as they destroy my Celtic skin
  22. That one needs to return !
  23. RE: The '71 Charger R/T : Certainly I'm not alone in hoping for a set of bucket seats (the bench is incorrect for an R/T, but works for the Super Bee and other models) , with an optional console (I'm keen on buckets with column shift). Likewise, I prefer the de facto 'N97' Noise Reduction Package exhaust of the stock version. With that in mind, how about offering both the festooned pipes and the turndown exhaust as options ? The Street Machine version's engine represents the relatively-obscure Stage V Hemi conversion from the 1980's-early 90's. That's a nice touch - albeit, 'improperly' executed : - The stock H.P. exhaust manifolds wouldn't work in 1:1 - The A/C setup wouldn't clear the front carburetor in 1:1 However, its virtues outweigh any real or perceived shortcomings.
  24. My vote's for the '74 version : better grille and the unembellished tail lamp panel.
