  1. I agree -- a 1973-1977 Colonnade moulded in styrene would be awesome !
  2. NYC cabs had rear footwell / leg room / floor-to-ceiling specs which were unique to them. I know that Chrysler had a V.I.N. marqued with an 'N' as the second-placement (e.g., WN41 for Coronet models). These cars were sent from the Lynch Road Assembly to Amblewagon where rear footwells with deeper steps were spliced-in where the stock footwells were. I've seen one in person ; a 1970 Coronet with a heavy duty 225 / 727-RG . Too bad that it was rusted to the roof. The 1998-2011 Crown Victoria NYC cabs were built on the Lincoln chassis (long wheelbase ; longer and taller rear doors). Someone has one in their collection which is a time capsule : 19 (nineteen) miles on its odometer ! I'll post a link in a bit ...
  3. Turbine engine option in the White Lightening edition of the 1969 Firebird ?!? My copy - unbuilt - has the Pontiac V8 with an optional 250 Sprint Six ; no turbine .
  4. Question everything ; believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear
  5. [ Side Bar ]
  6. RE: Modern engine in a Pinto : I drove a 2008 Ranger at work. It had the 2.3 (or is it a 2.5 ?) with a 5-speed auto and a 4.10 gear. Ran like grease through a goose and returned excellent duel economy. First time I drove it I thought, How cool would this engine, trans, and rear be in a Pinto wagon ? Just as @Ace-Garageguyand others have mentioned, it's not as simple as a "cut and paste" swap because of the computers and components involved in doing it properly. The cost involved alone is a deterrent ! Then there's the whole doing the conversion properly -- lots of butchers around.
  7. Circa 1993-1995 (age 23-25).
  8. Beat Club was a German television programme from c.1966 - 1972 -- colourised from 1970-1972 -- which featured popular bands from around Europe and the U.S.
  9. His first film role that I'm aware of was as "Razzle" in Suburbia.
  10. Sweet replica of your RM23U4G !
  11. LUdlow was a COX prefix in Huntington Park, Ca.
  12. I wonder what the sole known-to-physically-exist 1972 Six Barrel would fetch ?
  13. Super nice work on that (Malaise Era) Corvette ! Quite refreshing to see on in a colour other then red or silver !
  14. Solid work on that RM21 ! One of my favourite kits, too. Keep up the great work !
  15. 25-7-1970... too bad that I was 3 months old and 2,000 miles away on that date (haha). Such great footage of the guys in their prime ! Now, about that silent, colour footage filmed by the FBI ( COINTELPRO ) of the MC5 at the 1968 DNC in Chicago !
  16. Hammer, as in Paulie P.'s Hammers, LTD. of San Francisco, whenst in one's hand, maketh er'rything appearth a nail
  17. The ones in my stash aren't necessarily rare, but are hard to find in unbuilt condition, esp. for the price I'd paid for them: - MPC 1972 Duster Annual - MPC 1973 Duster Annual - MPC 1974 Duster Annual - MPC 1978 C-10 Annual (only issue with 2WD)
  18. More worserer is when the same unlicenced loser sits back whilst his wife/baby momma/girlfriend pumps fuel into the vehicle, energy drink in hand, hat on backwards, seatback reclined, yawning.
  19. <--- remembers how frumpy and uninspired fashion of the 1980's was
  20. Quite the common sight here -- has been for decades. Can't see over the tiller without pulling the seat almost to the windscreen ! Even more better is when their drunk-before-noon husband/baby daddy/boyfriend is sitting in the front passenger seat, completely incapable of doing anything more than loading up said SUV with cases of cheap beer.
  21. Happy Caturday !
  22. 1971 was the year of my first 'tangible' memory : the Sylmar Earthquake on 09-FEB at 0600 hrs. ; I was 10 months old
  23. Wait Until Dark [1967]
  24. 1969 Galaxie looks cool !
