  1. 1964 Chevelle Wagon ? Hopefully with the I-6 / Powerglide like the original (even more betterer, the I-6/ 'glide from the 1963 Nova Wagon) , neh ?
  2. "THAT is outrageous !", was Jim "Iggy Pop" Osterberg's response to hearing the news of someone hurling iced water on Cardi B. at one of her gripping performances
  3. Okay, here's an obscure one : Chariots Of Fire
  4. How about bashing the AWB Chevelle with the related-in-origins El Camino ? Put the camper on top of that rascal, too !
  5. Not sure if these would qualify : - Thunder Road [1958] - Duel [1971 (T.V. / 1972 Theatrical] - Gone in 60 Seconds [1974] - Blues Brothers [1980]
  6. My thoughts exactly : Where are the hoops for those chrome reverse rims ?
  7. I was thinking that the car was, at least originally, this colour The 1970 Hamtramck Registry - 1967 Paint Chip Charts Slideshow (hamtramck-historical.com) . Just as likely, it's a non-stock paint colour, though I can't place whose yellow that shade is (I'm thinking of an Oldsmobile yellow, perhaps Pontiac, but am not sure). Apparently, the car's not one of the factory S/S Belvedere models from '67 ( 'RO23' in the V.I.N. prefix ).
  8. I've arrived at the gilded conclusion that I wanta paint my AMT 1963 Nova Wagon's interior in that (common-for-the-era) 'aqua marine' shade. I'm looking for an 'over-the-counter' paint to accomplish this ; something in aerosol or brush-on. Recommendations ? Thanks !
  9. 1960's was the decade when the titles "Major" and "Commander" were liberally applied
  10. Hammer : Give one to someone and everything becomes a nail
  11. I'm keen on those adhesive emblems/scripts -- much easier than fiddling with P.E. and all of that cutting popping and cursing... and that's before attempting to apply those things to the surface. I wonder how many among us - notoriously cheap lot we are - would be willing to spend a little more to have a kit with those (wonderful) adhesive emblems/scripts ? I'd gladly give another, say, $5 over the kit cost (okay, I'm Welsh, so there's that to consider).
  12. The scene - that still- reminds me of the obscure 1969 film entitled More.
  13. Thanks for the tip. I have that exact kit ; perhaps I'll peruse eBay for 4 of the six lug steelies from that kit. I'd imagine that they'd fit the Sodbuster's tyres.
  14. I just purchased the Sodbuster K10 pickup, and I want for a set of plain steel wheels for it. Are the factory rims 6 lug or 5 lug with the 4WD 1/2 ton ? Any aftermarket steelies that'll fit the kit's (very nice) tyres ? Links please. Thanks !
  15. Now that would be nice ! Bring back the stock version options ! Insofar as the 1971-1977 B-Van : the earlier the better (e.g., 1971-1974). The stock wheel covers from the original annuals would be awesome ! Then there's the G-Series Chevy Van -- sidelight ( colloq. side "windows" ) option , s'il vous plait ! Maybe even a set of correct-for-G30 6 or 8 lug wheels with revised hubcaps.
  16. Red headed brat, c.1971. Grandparents' 1964 Cadillac parked behind my parents' 1969 Dart .
  17. Looking great @CabDriver ! Seeing that blue interior reminds me of the 1991 Caprice (Revell) which I'd built in 1995 (as a retired LASO unit). IIRC, 9C3 was the COPO number for the Taxi models.
  18. Financially a non sequitur : I remember the first timeI listened to Television's Marquee Moon album, and how much I still love it ; and how especially keen I am on 'Friction' (as well as the version by Echo & The Bunnymen)
  19. I'm not so sure about that (haha) : witness the Vega / Monza , Chevette, Pinto, Mustang II, Maverick, etc., etc. , annuals produced by MPC and AMT (separate companies at that time). I'm fairly certain that if/when GM, Ford, Chrysler, AMC contracted for promos, that MPC and/or AMT , Johan, et alia, would produce them as well as the kit version(s). No call for them ? No need to create & produce such an animal.
  20. I agree -- a 1973-1977 Colonnade moulded in styrene would be awesome !
  21. NYC cabs had rear footwell / leg room / floor-to-ceiling specs which were unique to them. I know that Chrysler had a V.I.N. marqued with an 'N' as the second-placement (e.g., WN41 for Coronet models). These cars were sent from the Lynch Road Assembly to Amblewagon where rear footwells with deeper steps were spliced-in where the stock footwells were. I've seen one in person ; a 1970 Coronet with a heavy duty 225 / 727-RG . Too bad that it was rusted to the roof. The 1998-2011 Crown Victoria NYC cabs were built on the Lincoln chassis (long wheelbase ; longer and taller rear doors). Someone has one in their collection which is a time capsule : 19 (nineteen) miles on its odometer ! I'll post a link in a bit ...
  22. Turbine engine option in the White Lightening edition of the 1969 Firebird ?!? My copy - unbuilt - has the Pontiac V8 with an optional 250 Sprint Six ; no turbine .
  23. Question everything ; believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear
