That wild homebrewed tunnel ram hath been perfectly executed in scale ! A work of art unto its own. Delightful replica of the High & Mighty ! Keep 'em coming !

My first thought was, "Palmer.". Then the metallic green reminded me of the Revell kit; that's how I'd searched for it : 'Revell 1969 Mustang Grande Kit' , and there it was. No, I don't have a copy; never have.

Gorgeous gold go-getter ! Man, I can just hear the rumbling exhaust and the whine of the M-22 transmission !

Oh, how I've missed bench seats in passenger cars ! First car that I owned with buckets/console was a 1990 Corolla (oh, how I miss that car !), and it bothered me on date night (haha). Speaking of bench-equipped convertibles: I'd love to have a 1967-1968 Camaro or Firebird drop-top or 1968-1969 Dart GT/S drop-top with a bench. Your description of those kinds of wonderful memories/situations personifies such a desire.

Last place I worked had a then-new 2014 Transit (is that okay to say these days ?) with everything you've mentioned (steering column was telescopic, too), including cruise control (a godsend when travelling hundreds of miles a day). Unlike my fellow coworkers, I actually kept that thing clean (I wasn't its only operator... unfortunately). I used to "shop use" a can of Armor-All cleaning wipes to keep in the van. I'd clean the steering wheel and its centre , the door panels. and the vinyl seats a couple of times a day; I'd scrub the rubber floor once a month. Glass was always clean, inside and out. The manager let me smoke in it ! That's happened every place I've worked : "You keep your vehicle so clean, that I'm going to permit you to smoke in it." That model didn't have a back-up camera, and that's fine. It did have backlights (colloq., "rear windows"), and they were big enough for me to see out of when backing. I only wish that It would have had quarter lights (colloq., "side windows") on the right-rear at least. That was its only blind spot -- but I never backed-into nor on to anything immobile. I love my 2004 P71 Crown Vic for its simplicity. NO asinine buzzers, blinkers, lamps, TPMS, etc. Nice and simple and to the point.

Basic interiors in WORK vehicles; rubber mats, vinyl seats, climate controls (analogue), and radio (analogue). Another mention of ashtrays and lighters (yes, I'm one of those horrible people who still enjoys tobacco !). Basically, options ! Maybe a heavy duty cloth seat with rubber mats (think: F-Series 'Custom' and or 'XL' trim levels); A/C without the Mr. Wizard bollocks. Power windows with manual locks. Tilt wheel without cruise control. Cruise control without the "convenience" package. I hate feeling like I'm starting a Lear Jet just to go to the market !

1974 Dodge 100 Adventurer Pickup
1972coronet replied to jsc's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
It appears to be simulate wood grain. Here's an invaluable source for all things MoPar related (this is a direct link to the 1974 Light Duty Truck section) : The 1970 Hamtramck Registry - 1974 Dodge Dealership Data Book - Light Duty Trucks (hamtramck-historical.com) -
Do the earlier versions of this kit include the plain steel wheels as well ? The kit seems to be ostensibly a 1967 & earlier model (no side markers), with an OHV four (with what appears to be an OHV update to a side valve engine ?). I've never had a copy -- I'm quite interested in getting one this go'round.

Old John Robertson [Byrds, 1966 & 1967] is a diddling homage to the Silent Film Era actor-director John S. Robertson, as written by Chris Hillman, whom shared residency in the same San Diego County town of Rancho Santa Fe

No talk about the Round2 1971 Dodge Demon ?
1972coronet replied to gtx6970's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Thanks for your reply, @SteveG. To address this 4-speed/console deal for everyone: No U.S. model / U.S. built Dart-Demon-Duster-Dart-Sport-Swinger with 4-speed/console after the 1969 model year. Yes, a Day Two mod was possible. Now, Chrysler de Mexico / AutoMex , as well as Chrysler S.A., offered the console with 4-speed in their Dart/Duster/et al. variants from 1970 onward (see example of the 1974 Valiant Super Bee in the image). For those whom desire a sans-console interior tub: a resin caster offers reproductions of the MPC Duster Pro Stock tub. this tub has no rear seat nor the console. Great starting point for a 4-speed (factory correct) or column-shift auto (with or without bucket seats). Lovely WS27J8 ! I noticed some ostensible changes from OOB: - Hemi heads. Are those mounted atop the kit's 440 ? - Single 4 Bbl. - Dual-circuit brake master cylinder - Appears to have the 'Inland' shifter poking through the console (?) Such a fun kit ! I promise that my next attempt will be better than the previous (haha).

Auditorium concerts, by c.1969, quickly "replaced" performances in intimate venues, thereby creating a "safe" environment by separating the bands from the audience

Scammer alert: texts used to drain bank accounts
1972coronet replied to bobthehobbyguy's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I've been receiving numerous junk emails lately, mostly from "Fedex Package Fail Deliveries" [sic] . The only bank texts / emails I've received were for BofA and Well Fargo [sic] . Thanks for the heads up ! -
Definitely. I've piloted a couple of those 1971-1973 Sportroof Mustangs, and both times I was nervous. The worst of which was a '72 Mach1 -- drove it from one of CA 91 to the other (+/- 85 miles). While it ran well (351-C two barrel) and tracked nicely, I worried L.A.M.F. when it came to lane changes. Made the backlight of my '73 Duster look like a bay window !

I'm a fan of clear tail lamps lenses and back-up lamps. In this instance, I'm going to paint the centre portion of the lamp in amber (around the back-up lamp). Definitely not stock, but a potential reality -- think : export model.
