  1. Hey Terry, really good to see some better pics of this. Great to see you still have it after all these years. Your article was great back then, still have the mag & it started my interest in building weathered ol' Cop cars.
  2. I noticed that the Decals by Lucas site is up & running today, thought it had been closed ? Has he or somebody else taken it over & trading again ?
  3. Now thats just what I'm looking for. Just my luck they are no longer stocked The ebay one looks a bit cheesy to me ? I'll drop them a line & post up a wanted ad on here.
  4. Thanks for ya kind offer Tom. Not sure if they are ferocious enough for a Cop Dog lol.
  5. Thanks Kyle. & yes they do, well kinda.
  6. Does anybody cast resin dogs ? ie for Police use ? I picked up the LX Mustang, that comes with K9 decals. Thinking about using them for a Dodge Magnum wagon, but cant find a dog to use with it ? h There's a couple on ebay, but they are wearing a jacket. A cop big n bad German Shepherd would be good.
  7. I've spent a good few months away due to being made redundant & now getting into a VERY busy job. Revells Fox Mustang LX notch has a couple of issues but has anybody tooled a hatch body to go with this kit yet ? I've owned 1;1 of both, so would love to build a 1;25 version. And yes, I am aware of old resins of Fox hatch's.
  8. I'm a BIG 57 CHEVY guy, but might have to sneak one of these into the stash . . . .. .
  9. Ooooh baby thats very nice. Sure theres a 1;1 here in the UK from my Fox owner days.
  10. I'm kitbashing a Revel Caprice & 94 Impala SS to come up with a 96 Caprice 9C1 Kinda go wheels sorted with de-chromed Challenger wheels, but any idea's about what to use for door mirrors ? The SS kit 94 mirrors are different to 96's.
  11. Couple of very nice builds, nice weathering too. Just picked up a 1;1 92 Caprice thats being redone as a black n white
  12. I'd been thinking about a simple backdrop to display a few cars on & use for pics ect. It stayed as just idea's due to not having the time or skill to make one. I got chatting to another modeller on an English site (Rods & Sods) & we bounced idea's about after I saw a couple of his small displays. I was VERY pleased when we did a deal & several weeks later, Peppershakers Diner arrived in the post Here's a couple of quick pics, with more to follow soon. As an added bonus & big surprise, it has a working neon sign ! I owe a very big thanks to Andrew (Voyager) for bringing an idea to life in 1;25 scale. The 57's & 55 are mine, most built many years ago.
  13. The bodyshop that worked on my 57 Chevy, had a 58 Plymouth in for a MAJOR resto. It was 1 of the original cars used in the movie. Some of the side trim was self adhesive chrome strips as used on mobile homes ! The car looked ok on outside when it first arrived, but when they tore it down, looked worse than the 1 sat on Lebays front yard !!
  14. Nice build Alan, about to start a street / strip wagon. What rear slicks did you use ?
  15. FANTASTIC build, love it.
  16. Cool box art, I'll be grabbing 1. Wouldnt wanna be the dog sat in that tho lol
  17. Thanks for all the info, pics & links. I bought some wheels from Danny a while ago & was very impressed. I searched ebay but somehow missed the rallys.
  18. Does anybody cast these 1;25 bare rally whees, without caps ? Read that an AMT 75 Corvette (50th anv) also comes with them, can anybody confirm which kit ?
  19. Have to get back tomorrow about that Casey (kits are in the attic) but hazzard a guess they are as I think they are part of the normal chromed tree.
  20. Yes the Boyd issue does have the Buick grill. It also has lowered (dif A arms) front suspension, the rear axle is also different to sit lower. & a couple of Boyd licence plate decals. The rest is the same as the yellow car box art contents.
  21. Yup, thats the original from 1963. As for the Pepper Shaker version, it has a lot to answer for . . . it was the 1st 57 Chevy kit I got. Lead to a long obsession !!
  22. Great 55 interior detail, just what I'm looking to do. Anybody know the size of the photo etched cd's ? Wondered if a paper hole punch would be same size, about 5mm ?
  23. Thanks guys. As Charlie asked, who makes the photo etched Casey ? Sure I've seen it advertised somewhere. I'll be following your tips Tom, for ciggarette pack ect. Try same idea for pop cans. Dan, Scale Equipment has some great product, thanks for link.
  24. Thanks for the advice guys. I've got a couple of scrap ones to practice on.
