IROC-Z CAMARO MONOGRAM 1985 1:8
mademan replied to Nate05's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I picked up a couple, to build replicas of my old 1:1... I got one for just over 80.00 plus shipping, started- engine glued together. Then I got another just over 100.00 new unstarted. I have seen them sell upwards of 125.00 though. -

Here is what I use to create the "wrinkle" valve covers. The texture isn't too unbelievable to small scale.

LOTS of guys are doing it over at Layitlow lowrider forums, both there and the facebook page. Jeroen DeVeries is the most well known, with his "Real Deal" wireless, all hidden electronics. He has also done a few more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWefh4Wph-k "next level" bed dancer Nissan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ovt-yveI2o fully functional Cadillac http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYUKU01GWpY&feature=c4-overview&list=UUfhFsr3MVZ5t8Z0fqQIH7lg

While waiting on odds and ends to dry, and parts to come in for my `Cuda replica build; I decided to start a quick project, that I can finish in a fairly timely manner. I picked up a set of these Re-issue MPC trikes a few days ago, and decided that the Milk Trike would be a good subject for a fairly quick build. The body comes in 2 separate parts, so I started by putting them together, and getting rid of the seams. Not overly impressed with the kit tires, so I dug through the stash and found a nice set of meaty Mickey Thompsons.... much better! I will update as I progress. Any input/critisisms are welcomed and much appretiated.

Sorry for all the small updates. Pulleys, Belt, and fan are all on. As well as the fuel line run from the pump. Just working on the "t" fitting for the carbs, and fuel filters. Also got a bit more work done on the interior, wood decals in place, and etch pedals.

There is one small Locally owned shop here.... His prices are a bit higher, but I do support him. I buy allot online, but I always stop in and see Jack ( the owner) and grab kits, glue, putty. -
2012-2014 COPO Camaro?
mademan replied to camarobuilder's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Copos have no VIN #.... so therefore It cannot be insured/plated. I have heard of 1 case where the guy bought a '13 Copo and a 2013 SS , and was "body swapping" to make it street legal...ish -
Home from work for a week, time to get some work done. Started by wiring the engine. Time to build some collectors and mate the exhaust up

I stay away from Hot rod mag... I really like Overkill, rod kulture, and ol Skool rods.

WIth a bit of work these Cutlass snap kits can be made into a really nice full detail kit. a good friend David Irwin (minidreams) started on this one, and I acquired it from him. He used toe Revell 72 Cutlass convertible chassis, etc. as it is the same wheelbase.
