  1. December. When we'll get them here depend on when you LHS decides to import them. As the understanding goes Revell U.S. is not going to act as their distributor here, the big front line suppliers are going to have to order their stuff directly from Germany.
  2. The people who constantly rip on Chad in the Round2 videos have rubbed off on me, because I really don't care for this young kid they brought on board at all. He appeared back in May during the Shizouka Show Coverage video, and he hasn't gotten any better in terms of knowledge or camera presence since then. I frankly enjoyed Brian and Scott goofing around at the shows trying to cover stuff that wasn't in their comfort area, Brian is Armor, and Scott is Aircraft - then usually they'd split up the car stuff. They seem to have brought the kid in to do the car stuff, but as seen in this video he doesn't have an idea what he's talking about - in his short screen time in the Aoshima booth he both made a bad joke & mispronunciation of Huracan (not Hurricane), and doesn't know which Liberty Walk GT-R kit is the new one. Then proceeded to basically tell all their customers the 1/32 line is full of boring uninteresting Japanese cars. I mean lets face it everyone here has known about these kits for months because Jonathan, I and others feed the forum this information, so the HLJ crew should be equally (if not better informed since at least Brian and Scott can both read and speak Japanese) but the new guy manages to make me unexcited about anything he talks about...
  3. Audi S1 is ready to roll out later this month...
  4. After a long delay the '01 Nissan Skyline (R34) 25GT Turbo was shown. The middle sign in Japanese is actually an apology note, saying the kit will be released at the end of November. Two kits, one is "Optional Wheels" which includes a set of TE-37s, which are rather uninspired options. The few new parts in the Pagani to make it more windy. Also Aoshima has tooled up a new set of wheels for the "Uretane" bumper MG-B
  5. Also this would be the upcoming Liberty Walk Nissan GT-R, the one that Jonathan posted is the kit that came out over the summer of the "v1.5" that had the updates to the 2017 spec nose & tail trim.
  6. I've seen every 3D render of that Starion, and while there is certainly a separate engine bottom, I have not (in my limited importance of knowing a guy who knows a guy) seen any renders of an engine top nor an engine bay. I suspect it will be much like the Audi's where it's there as part of the suspension, rather than anything of import. The Starion was used in AJTCC/Gr A/Macau racing, and was also a tarmac rally car, and Mitsubishi was working on making what was in effect a 4WD version to be used in Gr. B. Rally. The last one of course was somewhat stillborn due to the death of Gr. B, but was still campaigned in a number or rallys between '83-'89 in prototype and experimental classes. The AWD (nee Starion 4WD as it was called) used the transfer case off a Pajero (Montero) behind the transmission and well you can't exactly engrave that into the chassis of a touring car.
  7. Yeah there's a bunch of spindles, brakes and offsets they were tooling up that aren't specific to the Monte Carlo and can be used to universally fit their chassis under anything you want and thereby adjust the ride height and track width - which I give them credit for is pretty nifty on general principal. The separate front fascia clip also alleviates my concern about how the round vs. stacked quad headlights would be handled, I hope they engrave the turn signal panels on the '74.
  8. Looking through other things there does appear to be two front bumpers, one for each of the years, so I withdraw my "objection" over that aspect of the kit. Odd that they mixed and matched front ends in that CAD drawing.
  9. In reality it's just a statement of fact not an opinion. Although to be perfectly fair if you were comparing that 1980s AMT kit with a 1980s Tamiya kit - the Tamiya kit might be arguably worse in terms of overall quality since a few of their first 1/24 kits were little more than disassembled motorized toys. You have to get into kits manufactured in the late-80s to present before the "Tamiya-like quality" is actually the standard that term implies.
  10. Yay me! Glad to see you've already gotten your welcome beating over daring to like cars manufactured outside of the parameters "GAAAAAAAAASAR", "1971" and "MURICA!" when your little post about your stash was hijacked by the Re-education Camp minders who found it devoid of 18 copies of the '70 Impala Heavy Chevy kit they all have.
  11. The new tool Hasegawa Nissan R-91 Group C
  12. And now for something the same and completely different. A Porsche...from Revell.
  13. FWIW I wouldn't buy a Tamiya kit from them, they charge MSRP for everything even when it's "On Sale"
  14. 370Z Heritage. Red boxes show new parts, which is the front bumper & parts and the wheels as predicted. Nice to see they included the silver stripes that the black version uses. Appears the body itself is going to be molded in Banana Yellow. The 2019 version is also available in white, red & dark blue which all use the black striping.
  15. NuNu Porsche 911 RSR
  16. Whoops I smacked a key on the numpad and didn't look before hitting entered too amused with myself over tossing up an inside joke to a friend. "3 types of tires total" was what I was attempting to convey.
  17. Yes, 6 tahrs total.
  18. I believe that's the chassis plate for the Galant Rally whip since that's what the glass runner is also from...they sorta mixed and matched the photos in that collage. We shall see for realz come this weekend.
  19. I don't dabble in F1, so I don't have any of their kits in that genre. Traditionally speaking though F1 cars are pretty small, even in 1/20 scale. Not sure they'd be big enough tires, especially off a vintage F1 car (which are even smaller than modern ones). Also $62 is a lot to pay just to pilfer some tires.
  20. First round of test shots for the two Mitsubishi kits that were announced back at Shizouka. Lancer Rally, and Starion. Before people can even start the hood is separate on the Starion because there will also be a Rally version down the line.
  21. Imma just leave this here...and step away quietly
  22. Preview of coming attractions. The show is this weekend. Ebbro Beemax Now if you've watched the various spaces here, three out of the four of those aren't new, but this will be their official unveiling. Although it is interesting that the BMW E46 Super 2000 seems to be in an early plastic test shot, rather than 3D render prints. The new addition here would be the Top Right which is a Nissan Sunny which raced in the TS1300 (1300cc) class in Japan against Honda Civics and Toyota's Corolla Levin. It apparently made a reasonably suitable 2WD tarmac rally car in the 1970s as well.
  23. Auspiciously worded statements like this literally make my head hurt. The way that reads it makes it sounds like Atlantis bought all but 5 of the total tools that Revell/Monogram owned - period. It's a laughably and demonstratively false statement to even say that bought all but 5 of the U.S. based tooling. So that means they bought all but 5 of the TD pieces of tooling, which makes actual sense since we know Blitzvell is currently shipping the Rommell's Rod, you'd presume the Baja (Beast) Bandito is another tool they kept since that was part of the slate of planned reissues as well. The thing that makes it so face desky is that Tom HAS to know what he's licensed to Blitzvell...doesn't he? Or is everything on agent autopilot and he's just bumbling around unaware of who owns what of his and he just gets a check at the end of the month. I mean he does have licensing out to Mattel and Round2 as well and it has be a lot to keep track of...
  24. Only because the grading scale doesn't go any lower. They're the same ones that stirred up that...firestorm...over Tamiya's Minimum Advertised Price nonsense earlier this year by implying all of the kits were gonna skyrocket in price. Price on the Heritage Z in Japan is $27.51...hang onto yer wallets they're out to get ya.
