  1. Kevin lists this as a '71-'72 trans kit. To me, the grille design looks a bit more like a '72. The non-scoop hood has complete underside detail. The chrome headlights will need lenses. I'm nothing to Missing Link except an enthusiastic customer. I'm just passing this info along. That's a '71 GTO promo in my photo. If you have questions, please e-mail Kevin directly at: kevin@missinglinkrc.com or: kawifreek@msn.com John href="https://public.fotki.com/jsharisky/model_cars_and_such/missinglinklemanstr.html"><img src="https://media.fotki.com/2v2HUrkJSxvfat.jpg" border="0"></a><a href="https://www.fotki.com" style="font-size:12px; font-family:Verdana; text-decoration:none;"
  2. I once won a factory sealed AMT '75 AMC Matador kit on eBay. No chrome tree. Oh well... John
  3. I received some Missing Link items just last week. E-mail Kevin directly at: kawifreek@msn.com John
  4. Harts Parts is top drawer as far as I'm concerned. High quality castings. Vaughn flies just a bit under the radar is all. John
  5. Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland offers many high quality resin pieces for the Ford flathead. John
  6. Your survey: If I answer "Yes" to your question #1, I cannot answer question #2 (because I don't see the ads). I get a bounce back if I leave #2 blank. Maybe I'm screwy? John
  7. I won a couple sets of Larry's Porsche Fuchs wheels on eBay. Both service and product are A OK! John
  8. Some of the MPC 1970's Dodge van kits included these covers. Sets of four do show up on eBay every once in a while. John
  9. Man, I've been looking for the SMP24 Mangusta everywhere. John
  10. Scale Equipment LTD sells excellent sets of those '68(and later) Chevy wheels. Each wheel consists of three pieces: center cap, rim and trim ring. This makes detail painting easier and more realistic. The center cap and trim ring come already chrome plated. John
  11. Scott, Take a look at the completed auctions for eBay user: finksgarage As late as May he listed a VW "high detail engine kit". John
  12. I won on eBay a sealed AMT '75 AMC Matador X. Factory seal/wrap. Opened it. No chrome tree. John
  13. The Coupe de Ville kits (red car on the box) were available in those three model years. As far as I know, the graphics on the kit boxes did not give up what model year kit was inside. John
  14. Fumi, I saw your post on the Model Car Magazine forum (see above). I was thinking that if you know where to find rare SMP24 kits, you might know where I can obtain a Hobby Design Mercedes-Benz SLR Roadster Conversion kit (photo attached). I've been looking on-line for a long time without success. I'll appreciate any information you might have. I'm in the US. Thank you! John Sharisky
  15. I just now posted on the Spotlight Hobbies forum regarding some Tamiya items that I ordered from this Canadian vendor: Sunward Hobbies in Toronto John
  16. The background is indeed a nice soft silver (sometimes called "argent" by the car makers). I think the font is interesting. I'd gladly pay for nice, clean decals of various model years. John
  17. Competition Resins offers a Cuda stock hood (flat). It's from the MPC kit. It's white resin and a very good casting. John
  18. I've purchased from USCP wheel sets, the BMW M5 update kit (for the Fujimi M5 kit) and the Mercedes big sedan update kit (for the Tamiya 600SEL). All good. No issues, no problems. I've e-mailed regarding their long ago proposed Mercedes 300SL Roadster trans-kit for the Tamiya Gullwing kit. I was told that it was now on the "back burner". Nuts. I hope that this isn't a very early indication of USCP being a victim of their own success. Regarding ordering from overseas, I've learned not to count the days. It'll get here when it gets here. It always has. On another note: USCP is one of two vendors that I purchase from that had announced they were no longer going to sell their wares on eBay. Both are selling on eBay again. Looked at as the sales conduit that it really is, one cannot seriously overlook or deny the audience that eBay brings to cottage businesses. John
  19. His reason why is on his YouTube page here. Too bad. He offered some killer AMC pieces. John
  20. *Very* interesting! Thanks for posting this. John
  21. My preference is for the Scale Equipment LTD wheels also. Rick's set with the separate (already chromed) trim rings have a more correct depth that the MPC wheels never had. John
  22. Contact Tapani Rauramo at: raurata@yahoo.com There are no decals included in the Cordoba/300 kit. John
  23. I have one and it's very nice. I prefer it over one from Time Machine Resin that I've had for a while. Any variance between the two (there might be others) will only be in the castings as these are straight re-pops of styrene kit parts. Jeff at Firebird Designs is offering Ventura II "Sprint" decals from his on-line store HERE and also on eBay. For Rally II wheels, I always like to plug Rick at Scale Equipment LTD for their two-piece white resin wheels with separate, already chromed, trim rings. John
  24. I've purchased two of the 300C prototypes(shown above), one '56 Imperial and one '56 New Yorker coupe. I received the two prototypes first. I liked what I saw. Based on that I then purchased the two others. John
  25. I have both the Hornet 360 and '70 AMX from Missing Link Resin. (also not for sale) John
