Build number 21 for the year, the old RofG Jag XK120. Paint is Tamiya Gloss Aluminium and a couple of Tamiya acrylics for the green leather interior. The small racing screens came in the kit, which came in handy as I don't like the small vertical rear bumpers that came in the kit. I had a couple of fit issues, so had to lower the front suspension and move the rear wheels back a tad to centre them in the wheel wells.

So sorry for your loss Carl.

Here's my take on the awesome 1/24 Tamiya Mustang GT4, with a retro scheme inspired by the Parnelli Jones 1969/70 Mustangs. Built box stock using Tamiya Bright Red and some of the kit decals.

This is the Johan 1/25 1935 Mercedes Benz 500K, built box stock. Overall a pretty good kit for its age, but a few minor fit problems and I had to remove a little from the top of the gearbox to get the fender unit to fit on the chassis. Painted in Testor's Dark Cherry Pearl straight from the can, no clear was used.

Built box stock using Tamiya White and Metallic Orange spraycans, the kit comes with some wonderful Cartograph decals.

Cheers Eric (and everyone else!). The nuts are simply 0.032 brass rod inserted into pre-drilled holes, the camera and paint seem to augment their appearance somewhat!

Here's my version of the 1/24 Monogram 1934 Duesenberg SJ Torpedo Phaeton in all its glory, painted in two shades of Tamiya Metallic Blue. I had to scratch build the upper engine due to a missing part, which took a few hours, 12 pieces of styrene and 13 bits of brass rod.

Here's the almost complete Deusy engine. So glad I decided not to glue the bonnet shut!

I can feel your pain. Same happened to me after 15 year's marriage, life was tough at times, but I survived some very deep lows. I sincerely hope that things work out for you.

Yes, the 1/16 kit was released as a '34 Ford Phaeton and also a Tudor Sedan.

Wanna race? Here's my 1/24 Tamiya MX5 built as a Global Cup car, with scratchbuilt rollcage and window net. Paint is Tamiya spraycan, TS95 Pure Metallic Red and Metallic Black over grey Tamiya primer. Decals are from Plamoz, and the wheels/slick tyres are from the UT Models Calibra I built recently. A superb kit from Tamiya, the drivetrain consists of 15 pieces including the propshaft which assemble without incident, which then fits to the floorpan and all seven mounting points line up perfectly!

And yet shipping from Japan to here in New Zealand is far cheaper than from the US. I have all but stopped buying kits from the US, preferring to buy from the Far East or Europe.

Thanks Jim. I have decals to do this car, but it won't be an exact replica. This is the concept car, I have since found out that the actual MX5 Global Cup cars used a different rollcage. I have already built the kit as a road car, it is a superb Tamiya offering.

My first ever attempt at scratchbuilding a rollcage, for a racing MX5. I should be able to build the interior around it.
