  1. Well done Brian, worthy. Congratulations.
  2. Only if you want to Bruce. Otherwise, any car that conforms to the rules above.
  3. It's so Road Warrior-esque, it really does look invincible.
  4. I hate to say it chums, but I'm tapping out. I like what I've done here, and I want to cast this body. But that means I need to put a lot more effort into surface prep and detail, then mold making and that's just going to push things back. I'm not jazzed enough about it to push hard in the next five weeks. Since I've got so far to go, I'd rather just take my time and enjoy it. I'm still here though, and I'll be helping Rob near the end of this CBP.
  5. Something different with a visible engine?
  6. I know of one builder who appears to also be a compulsive model buyer, his wife may be his enabler. Every week he orders five or ten kits plus multiple supplies. To his credit, he builds quite a bit, but not at that rate.
  7. Is there any rush? I have a feeling if you hang onto it, you'll know when the right person comes along. You seem to be fairly connected to builders of like mind.
  8. Slick.
  9. Not many of those Cougars show up in this gallery. Nice to see it and I like the vinyl top too.
  10. Just checked all the dazzling updates. All I gotta say is...
  11. I've got parts of the Darth Vader van. As Dave Van says, not much to them. Small, low parts count. They do look kind of cool though. Might have done okay if it was a 1/25. More so than, say, the bathtub show car.
  12. There's something about the old marker art that's so much more pleasing than photos or airbrush. Not that those are bad, just that the hand drawn marker art is so marvelous.
  13. Wonderful pics. Nice way to wind down before bed.
  14. Just... Stunning.
  15. Charm goes a long way toward making a woman beautiful. I think Julia Roberts is trout ugly but her irresistible charm makes her multi-platinum.
  16. ∆∆ This ∆∆. Keep your tools and select kits and thin out the rest at a swap meet. No packing and shipping woes.
  17. Late-season update: Nothing done. But with the northern chill moving in, it's almost model season again.
  18. The blue accents are graphically risky, but I just love it. A bold choice that really adds interest.
  19. Everything above is valid. I will just add this... This kind of stuff still brings a ton of interest at the auctions. Piggy-back your models onto someone's auction, or work with an auction company to gather up your stuff and they'll add it to a weekly auction. Your family doesn't have to deal with it, the models will go to collectors and resellers and the auction company may come and get 'em up for you and they don't go to the trash You may well have to give up 30-to-40 percent for their commission but basically, you give up some of your value to pay someone to do the work for you.
  20. In the outdoor advertising business (which is essentially what we're talking about here), less is more, and that's why I like this. Bold, instantly defined and sponsor pleasing.
  21. For filling and shaping, this...
