That's a beauty. I too like the Indy cars. One of my earlier efforts was the MPC Rutherford MacLaren. I'd like to take a shot at that one again now that I'm older and wiser.

We are at the cusp of a decade or two when all these stashes are going to saturate a market of a mostly disinterested younger population. I'm of the opinion that most your (our) models will never be worth more than they are right now.

Nice to see that the hood fit problem isn't just in my kit. Like you, this is one I've taken out and put away more times than I can remember over the years. I like what I see here.

Just when I thought the '54 would be my favorite, then I see the 55 truck and the 66 Impala. I don't think I've ever seen such realistically subtle weathering as that 66 SS.

I'm not just impressed with the quality and quantity, but I'm really, really impressed with the variety. It's your choices that I like the most.

The chassis is interchangeable with the sedan and coupe. Sedan delivery not the same as a panel delivery. Same with, say, Revell '54 sedan delivery.

A risky but brilliant use of colors that totally paid off on a super clean build.

Which is why I put little stock in their flyer sales on kits, because it's never better than just using the 40% coupon off the full price anyway.

Last year when this was being kicked about, I did some imagineering and feel pretty confident with the custom I came up with then. So I guess I'm set if I don't change my mind in the next three weeks.

I think this is one of the nicer looking trucks of the last 20-years. But I also remember the flak I commonly heard about its garish styling and how the flared fenders and hood hump was a step backwards in design.

Car guys don't represent the conventional American car buyer. Any neutrally colored brick of composites will suffice as long as it's huge and chiseled. In their daily lives, across all consumer goods, younger consumers have not been as influenced by color and style as older consumers who were exposed to a whole different method of marketing and priority.

I hear ya my man, but the onsite poll was grossly inadequate; too complicated, biased against models at the bottom of the list and had no securities against multiple votes. I talked it over with Rob and our site administrator and the consensus was to go with a reliable tool. The polling feature is always evolving, so if participants want to bring it back to this site next year, we'll keep it in the family. But we'll revisit this next fall.
