  1. So crisp. What's not to love?
  2. This is fantastic. I don't think I've seen weathering this perfect. The blistering paint seals the deal.
  3. Didn't you have a Vega?
  4. I love surprises. The green stripe, very sophisticated. A risky graphic choice that just tickles me. Bravo.
  5. I have a beat up Ford Ranger long bed with 5spd. I have a standing offer that if anyone I know wants to borrow it, they're welcome to. The usual response is, "Um, that's okay." I think the third pedal scares everyone away.
  6. On the contrary. For me, these are the kinds of outside-the-box builds that really get me jazzed. I'm quite looking forward to watching what you do with it.
  7. That's a bummer. I don't like going somewhere else to see what you're doing for this CBP.
  8. Well, that's pretty funky. I like what I'm seeing.
  9. Lots of talk of hobbies in other threads, but I'd sure like to see more PICS of other hobbies our members have. I remember some great homemade grills and smokers, woodworking, collections, etc. I've been drifting over to art lamps, mostly in the steampunk style. I've two in the hopper I'd like to finish before I do another model. This one I finished earlier... This one is in the works. A ray gun lamp that started with this... Painted up like this... ...With conduit running to a lit "power box" like this... ...And sitting on a tower with a base that looks like this...
  10. I've never heard of such a thing. Looks kind of over-engineered to me, but it must have been born out of a need.
  11. Simply that as some of these monster stashes start fattening the market, the young modelers who are enthusiastic and committed are gonna get some pretty good deals. Good luck on your new digs. Hope it's not a culture shock going from the deep south to the not very deep south.
  12. This is VERY interesting.
  13. As for the budding young car modeling fanatic, the gravy train is coming. Start saving and making room .
  14. That's a beauty. I too like the Indy cars. One of my earlier efforts was the MPC Rutherford MacLaren. I'd like to take a shot at that one again now that I'm older and wiser.
  15. We are at the cusp of a decade or two when all these stashes are going to saturate a market of a mostly disinterested younger population. I'm of the opinion that most your (our) models will never be worth more than they are right now.
  16. Nice to see that the hood fit problem isn't just in my kit. Like you, this is one I've taken out and put away more times than I can remember over the years. I like what I see here.
  17. Just when I thought the '54 would be my favorite, then I see the 55 truck and the 66 Impala. I don't think I've ever seen such realistically subtle weathering as that 66 SS.
  18. I'm not just impressed with the quality and quantity, but I'm really, really impressed with the variety. It's your choices that I like the most.
  19. Stunning work. Love all the extra detail. Very interesting genre too.
  20. The chassis is interchangeable with the sedan and coupe. Sedan delivery not the same as a panel delivery. Same with, say, Revell '54 sedan delivery.
  21. A risky but brilliant use of colors that totally paid off on a super clean build.
  22. Keep an eye on the Community Build section for an announcement soon. Building starts Jan.1. Start planning for what kind of van/panel truck you'd like to build.
  23. A great show of models and decent turnout with ten satisfying models finishing. Congrats to Ash on a build that impressed every step of the way. Oldmopar's septic truck embraced the innovative spirit of the Cannonball in a way that's always fun to see.
  24. Wish I could bang 'em out that quick to that quality. Well done. You've set the bar for the rest.
