Looking forward to this build Bob, looking good so far!

Great info Scott, I can tell you have a little time on your hands, lol, that Lenco trans made everyone a good driver. I’m trying to stay in the 72 rules and utilize the 4 speed. Huge changes in Pro Stock in 73. Wish you had a shot of the rear suspension.

Thanks Terry, I still undecided on the chassis, but I’ve got some Classic White, Model Master I’ll use on the body.

Looks great Scott!

Man Scott, I didn’t even think about solder…… Your DOL Plymouth is beautiful! I don’t have a dehydrator what does that calculate into real time?

I’m really not impressed with the Tamiya spray paints. I originally tried their TS 26, Pure white on my Drag on Lady Hornet build, I had trouble and ended up stripping the paint and redoing it. I don’t know why but I thought I would try the Tamiya paint again as it’s much easier than air brushing my tried and true Testors. I shook that can of paint for a half hour, the temp and humidity were good last night, so I shot one light coat, let it flash off and then a heavier coat, the color insisted on pulling away from the edges. I waited an hour and applied the last coat, it’s kinda covered, appears way too thin. The gray primer shows through and the fuel tank was not primered still appears yellowed plastic. I have bubbles on the cowl, this is usually a sigh of too heavy paint application. I’m on the fence with where to go on this, leave it and work with it, sand it and try another coat, or “purple pond “

LOL….That looked easier than it was. I have a lot of scrap plastic left over from many failed attempts, I tried left over exhaust pipes, tried heating and bending.080 evergreen rod numerous times, I finally gave up and got one close and pieced it together and puttied the seams. Now I just hope it’s in the right place. ??

Thanks Bob, gonna try and get paint on the chassis today.

Thanks Rich!

I finally got some bench time. After several tries I finally have the traction bar mount made, I sectioned the fuel tank from the Johan Maverick.

So many possibilities, so little time……

Thanks Terry, I’m really gonna miss that show, it’s a good one. Keep me posted on how you do. The offer is still open for ACME.

DW, I’ve lived here before and I promise humidity in the Midwest is so much worse than here in Georgia.

Thanks Bob, it’s almost 11x11, with two windows for light. I wish I didn’t need a job, I’m not rich like you…..

LOL , no Scott I won’t miss Indiana winters ?
-
Thanks Rich, like most of us, I’ve modeled in a lot of different circumstances. It’s just me and my wife now, but we purchased a 4 bedroom home so I could have a room to work in.

Thanks David, I am too!

Just a quick update, First, Thank you Scott. I can’t believe it’s been over a month since I last posted, since then I’ve sold my house in Indiana , bought a house in Oxford Georgia,we packed up and moved last Friday. We’re still unpacking boxes and I’m still looking for the lights for my workbench. I’m hoping to get my BTK finished in time for the ACME show in late October. I still need to find a job. Here’s a shot of my model room so far.
