  1. My pleasure for putting the pics up. Building some of these things take a little different approach. You also need a very big bench. Tools are different, like you need things for metal, grinders, drill bits, metal polishers( tumblers) special screw drivers etc. and if you are painting them. You need a spray gun. A airbrush will not paint it well. It’s different but I really like them. Where do you put them? I’m trying to figure that out. My supersnake is going to the Vegas Shelby museum next month. But Agora is sending me another one. Im going to repaint that one and modify it a bit. Here is the supersnake. You get to see it before it goes to the museum.
  2. Thank you Gramps46. I really like race cars , was just never any good at building them. I’ll send you a pic of the size of this car. The small one is a 1/24.
  3. Let’s see, this qualifies as a LM winner. Ford GT 1969. This is a big one. DeAgostini 1/8 scale. I have a few lm winner kits in 1/25-24, but never got around to build them. Love the builds here. All of them are great!
  4. First of all thank you vamach1 and thank you Ray. This car is going to be in the Shelby American museum next month.
  5. Put batteries in the ford GT. The lights work great.
  6. Claude, this build is amazing. Streamliners are so cool. Your build is perfect. The color choice and finish is perfect also. I have only been to salt flats once. But still have a very strong feeling for the salt cars. This seems to be the only place a amateur and a professional can race together. This day and age. Love your build sir. Great job.
  7. A amt camaro. Painted it sunrise gold like the transformers car. Very fun color. I only had just enough to paint the car.
  8. I forgot, the lights work, when you step on the brakes, the brake lights work and it makes a engine sound when you press the accelerator pedal. I’m not a great fan of ( play factor) in my models, but this car has some.
  9. Very Very nice! Clean and beautiful build.
  10. I saw this thread and it looked fun. Great builds here. I did one movie car, transformers camaro. Did a lot of research on the car. Steve Saleen built the movie cars out of Holden GTOs . Chevy had the sheet metal and Steve’s crew cut them up and put the new sheet metal on them. The Camaros were not even out yet. The color was sunrise gold. House of color. My paint rep found some from a friend of his. So I painted it this color. Just as I finished this, the IPMS Santa Rosa chapter was having a model contest and the Lucas people were there. We had Darth Vader walking around , R2d2 was rolling around. Storm troopers and a room displaying Star Wars things. Chris Zannella was the pres at the time and knew Gerore Lucas. So he had some of star wars people there. Some judged some classes. Like the movie class. My car took 1st for the color of the car. A guy knew the color from the movie and asked me where did I get it? Anyway here it is. And the Lucas award.
  11. Rich, you guys are amazing on your builds. I am motivated on starting it again. If you can, I’m interested in a pic of that tool for the fender vents. A lot of detail masking. I keep looking at your paint and it’s amazing. This is a very complex paint scheme. Here is a pic of my bench with the car on it. And a pic of the car with the engine on the ground. This is at laguna seca
  12. Beautiful car!!! My favorite Porsche. Saw this car run at laguna seca. Oh yeah for you younger people( Mazda raceway) . Had a poster in my room of this car . So I had to buy a mfh kit when it came out. I have the wheels and tires finished and the monster engine started. Hopefully it will be finished in a few years. Yours are fantastic! Great job on the paint work. Looks like I will be in for a challenge.
  13. A DeAgostini Ford GT. 1/8 scale it’s big. I really like this car. I only did a few extra details. Sanded some seam lines and repainted the parts. Like the exhaust, suspension bars etc. added a few decals to the dash, fuel pumps, fire extinguisher. Detailed the carbs a little.Washed a few parts. Things like that. DeAgostini captured the paint, stance and overall look of the ford GT. A very fun build. My wife likes it a lot. And she never comments on my models. Hope you guys like.
