The DM600 would be just fine for your dump truck. That's what they are designed for. Yes, the entire engine & transmission should be gold. I found that Tamiya Gold Leaf X12 works quite well. Here is my ENDT 675 Maxidine from my Mack R685ST: For the interior green, I've heard that Humbrol 120 Matt Light Green is a good match; but I've never used it.

Nice looking trailer. The Krylon Chrome seems to have gone on well. I never had any luck with Krylon Chrome; just never seemed to dry.

Looking forward to your progress. I've never owned the kit either, but I remember seeing an actual B-1B flying nap-of-the-earth during Roving Sands '93 near our PATRIOT site at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. Very impressive. We still "shot him down", but it was still impressive none the less.

I think you captured the look of the 1:1 quite well. I know one thing for sure, we could definitely use this truck up here on the New York Throughway in the winter. It would make a great snow plow!

The blue & orange look good together. I suppose you could always say it's a Roadway test tractor. Oh, so you know, a single drive 359 is a 289, not a 259. Confusing, I know.

Alberto, the Kenworth K123 has fit issues as well, but probably less than the Freightliner. The biggest issues with the Freightliner are the multipiece cab (it can be a reall bear to get to fit properly), and the front axle & bumper are too wide. Let's face it though, they are both AMT kits so there are going to be fit issues; but the Kenworth would be a better starting rig.

I'm leaning toward the C-cab myself, if I can get the darn thing to fit right! Looks like I need to add a bit of plastic to the bottom of the rear panel.

I'm not sure if the C-cab is accurate for a 1925 Model T or not. I haven't found any reference photos od a Model T or Model TT with this cab. Doesn't mean they're not out there, just means I haven't found them. I figured that there are a bunch of parts in this kit, so what would it look like if I took the body from the Roadster but used the pickup bed instead. Well, here is the answer: Looks more like the 1:1 photo that I found.

I wonder if the AMT bed will fit on the ICM 1913 Model T Roadster? http://www.icm.com.ua/news/371-model-t-1912-roadster-american-passenger-car.html You'd probably end up with a pickup that looks more like the 1:1 I posted.

Ok, so I really need another project like I need a hole in my head, but I wanted to build something quick & simple (so I picked an AMT kit ) to take my mind off of the 1974 Kenworth W900. (Not working!) The plan is to do a factory stock Model T similar to this one, but with the hard top: Here is where I stand as of right now. The frame is completed: And the cab & bed are assembled, but not glued on: I do plan on doing it in black (Any color you want, as long as it's black!), and I'm contemplating the wood wheels to sort of break up the black. Not sure about the spare tire, yet.
