  1. Looking good, Kostas. I'm sure it will be really nice when it's done. Wow, I thought Tim had a lot of Peterbilt kits!
  2. You are partially right, though. Kenworth Australia trucks are manufactured in Australia, and not imported from the US. The global headquaters is in Kirkland, Washington, just outside of Seattle. Aren't the Australian Kenworths assembled in Victoria?
  3. That's really, really nice. Great job.
  4. Did you try Fred's Model World? Sometimes he has Aerodynes. And Dennis over at Model Express sometimes has them as well.
  5. That is a pretty good price. Of course air fare from New York to colorado might be a problem.
  6. Thatks for the tips on the Italeri Container Trailer. I think it would look good behind the LoneStar. Now I just have to find one at a reasonable price. One day! Yes, I agree. As for a new modern trailer kit, I think Moebius will come through long before Itlaeri or Revell does.
  7. Speaking of modern trailers, how modern & accurate is the Italeri 40ft Container Trailer? From just driving down the highway, it seems that 40ft containers are pretty common. In fact there is a Schnider driver that lives here in town that seems to always be hauling one.
  8. These look really familiar. I think my LHS (JR Junction) has them in stock. If they are the same ones (and I think they are) they are about 1/32. If you'd like me to, I can head down there later this week & check them out.
  9. Have any LoneStars made it onto the European roads yet?
  10. That's pretty cool.
  11. Check here for your Mack references: Mack Brochures As for the Mack filter decals, you can get them from Jerry at Model Truckin'. Mack Filter Decals For that era of truck, I'd still go gold for the V8: 1977 DM Engines
  12. I think they stopped painting them gold in the late 1970s.
  13. For stripping chrome, I've found that Castrol Super Clean (aka Purple Stuff) works well. On some older stuff, you'll need to use Easy-Off once the chrome is gone to get rid of the laquer that is o the plastic. As for Mack Gold, I used Tamiya Gold Leaf X-12 on my 1975 Mack R685ST; and it's pretty close. Well, close enough for me.
  14. This is coming out really amazing. You contribute to 32 modeling Websites? How do you get anything done? That's the amazing part.
  15. Jerry offers quite a few decals in 1/32.
  16. Interesting, Charles. There sure us a lot of stuff in the cab. Does the Swedish military use these?
  17. Rumor has it that Revell USA is reissueing the Peterbilt 352 from the "Historic Series". Apparently it is supposed to be issued in Jume 2011. We'll see.
  18. Eric, I like that K100 daycab. What kit did that start out as? I didn't know there was a 1/32 K100.
  19. Ben, those wheels & tires look really nice, but $90 for 1/32 tires is a little pricey! I wonder if there is anything in the 1/35 military world that could by adapted. And why is it that 1/35 military models are so ralistic while 1/32 (and to some extent 1/25) models are so toy-like?
  20. Looks really nice, Bill. I like the added details to the storage area, booster line, & hose bed. Great job all around.
  21. Most of the WWII tanks were pretty light comparted to the main battle tanks of today. The Jagdpanther Ausf. G & Panther Ausf. G being the exceptions at 50.15 tons & 49.4 tons respectively. The Panzer II Ausf. F was 9.6 tons, the T34/85 was 32 tons, and the SU100 was 34.8 tons. The M1A2 weighs 68.4 tons, and the Leopard 2A5 weighs 68.7 tons.
  22. Maybe not a Cruiseliner, but at least some better wheels & tires.
  23. I've been wanting to do this with a T-34/85. I need to make the lowboy first, though.
