  1. Ok, so not much has happened since the last update, but I did manage to replace the air intake system with aluminum tube, scratch build some 90deg elbows, got the "Alcoa Wheel" logos on the front wheels, and make a fifth wheel release handle. It's not much, but it's something.
  2. Nice job on weathering to old AC. Very nice.
  3. That's the spirit!!
  4. I thought Illini was casting his own stuff, but Dave just hosting the gallery.
  5. Ok, I'll be the "stick in the mud": I don't get it. Yes, they're nice builds, and very well done; but I still don't get it.
  6. How come I can never find those 40% off coupons in my Sunday paper? We have a Hobby Lobby near by.
  7. Round2/AMT just reissued the Fruehauf Tank Trailer, and the have the Fruehauf Van Trailer scheduled for later this year. Last year they reissued the Fruehauf Faltbed Trailer and the Peerless Log Trailer. If you go to eBay and search for "Fruehauf" or "Great Dane", quite a few trailers come up.
  8. I really like these trucks. I might have to try my hand at one one of these days. I think my biggest problem will be getting the little details correct. Like the ladders, logos, and the headlights. Bitner, your blue cab looks perfect! Excellent job. The Allied cab is vry nice, too.
  9. The Diamond Reo will be nice to have, too.
  10. Not sure, but I doubt it. The Italeri Freightliner is 1/24, & I'm pretty sure the AITM Marmon 57P cab is 1/25. Maybe the AMT International 4300 or Paystar kits. Here's a little incentive: Marmon Trucks
  11. I like it so far. Nice job on the I-beams.
  12. Oooo! Oooo! Ooo! Mr. Kotter! Mr. Kotter! I know! I Know! That's my Arnold Horshack impersonation. Ok, it wasn't that great. But then again, you told me, so it wouldn't be fair.
  13. Looks like I need to get on the list. Wonder what would be a good doner kit.
  14. Wasn't the AMT Peterbilt 352 reisued in 2000, or something like that? That's about when I got back into truck mudeling, and i seem to remember a bunch of then floating around.
  15. Is it available yet? I thought Dave was still working on the molds.
  16. Could be worse suppose. Could end up looking like a jackalope!
  17. Great job on detailing this one. I'd be a little aprehensive about taking corners in this one, too!
  18. Interesting. For someone with some scratchbuilding tallent (other than me) that probably wouldn't be too hard to make.
  19. I like it. The steel truss is a nice idea. Don't see that all that often.
  20. That's wicked cool! Sort of an off-road logging bucket truck.
  21. No, there was never a plastic kit made of the W-Series; however, there is one available from The Backyard Shed: Ford W-Series Cab
  22. I think it boils down to two things: personal preference & ability. I don't weather my models primarily because I don't really know how to. I'm learning things, and I might try some weathering in the future.
  23. Fleet looks really nice. The General came out really well. There's just something about the GMC General for me. Nostalgia, I guess. All those GMCs and a lone Ford.
  24. Something about allowing the trailer to turn properly. At least that's what people who know a heck of a lot more about logging trailers that I do told me. Maybe it's just a Pacific Northwest thing. The log trucks around here don't use trailers.
