  1. Looks fantastic to me.
  2. Gorgeous color! Nice job, Jim.
  3. Go for it, Vernon! That'll be cool. Thanks, G
  4. Thanks, Rob. I will try to remember to do that. Remembering is not my strong suit these days....
  5. Thanks, Danno!
  6. Awesome!
  7. Thanks Charlie. Thanks Ray.
  8. I gave away a box full. I can't find the post or the messages where I did it, so I don't remember if it was Bob. I think I put them in the Trades section for free, and someone took them all. He said he was going to scan them to put online.
  9. Thanks fellas. It's cool that I can put up a funky old car and you guys like it. I really appreciate it.
  10. Way cool. That antique bottle of paint worked out great.
  11. I think it's cool. Let us see you build it!
  12. That looks great! I like everything about it. Ratsun.com, fake aircraft exhaust, gas filler pokin' out the back. Great paint and engine work.
  13. Thanks guys. Sorry Mark, I did not take a pic of the interior.
  14. Thanks, Tom. I wish I had thought of the college decals. I think she had a window sticker on it. Oh well, too late now! Thanks, Mike.
  15. Beautiful work! I like all nine of your Impalas, and I bet they look great as a display.
  16. That looks great! Those old "bug eyes" are cool.
  17. Thank you gentlemen. This is the Revell Hemi Dart kit. I filled in the hole in the scoop hood to make a stock hood. Wheels and dog dishes from the Lindberg '64 Dodge 300. Bias ply tires from the parts box. The kit back seat is for a GTS, and was much too fancy. I found a plain bench seat in the parts box and made a resin copy for the front seat. I added a shifter to make it "three on the tree". One memory my sister has of this car is that her dog chewed the passenger armrest on a long trip at night. I added that to the model. This will be a Christmas present for my sister. I hope she likes it!
  18. I did this one for my sister. It was originally my Mom's car, survived being driven by a teenage boy (that would be me ), and finally became the car my sister drove while she was in college. If your first reaction is "That looks terrible!", I have at least partially achieved my goal. I was trying to make it look like a 4 year old car that has had a hard life, never been garaged, and has lots of miles, mostly on dirt roads. Let me know how I did!
  19. As long as your molds are properly vented, you should have no problems with bubbles. If you make your molds so they fill from the bottom and vent at the top, the resin will force the air out. Stir your resin mix slowly to avoid adding air. Pour slowly but steadily to avoid trapping air. Both Smooth-On and Alumilite resins will work fine
  20. Great job, Eric.
  21. Thanks for that link, Bill, very interesting. Also thanks for the chassis info.
  22. Is there any standard/ original pattern for the chrome trim around the roof and doors of this car? The images I've seen seem to be all over the place. I saw one in a parking lot this morning that had chrome below the windows, with everything else body color. Other images show that area as body color with chrome rain gutters. Others look like there's chrome all around the door openings, and chrome or roof color gutters. Is there any rhyme or reason to this? Also I've heard that the floor pans are red oxide primer with black chassis rails, except when they're primer gray. I'm totally confused (not unusual!). Any help out there?
  23. Anybody interested in this? It's 1/32 scale. It's yours for the postage.
  24. Well, at least the last one knows it's a clown car. The others don't want to admit it.
