Well the resin side scoops came today, cant use them as the casting was really bad and thin, so looks like I am using the kit scoops now

I use duplicolor primers, I also use walmart cheap primer as well too, I use the cheap stuff for when I am doing body to check and see how my work is coming so I dont waste the good stuff. I want to try plastikote primers, but there is not a place that sells it that is close by

You can use almost any primer you want, you are going to get people suggesting using plastikote , duplicolor, and so on . I use duplicolor primer, I also use the cheap wally world primer, both work well. Virgil just did a thread on primer, check it out http://www.modelcars...showtopic=54768

Get a can of testors dull coat, that will take care of the shine for ya

Ebay, is a good place to, just have to get thru all the BS sometimes , but it can worth it, also tower hobbies, but only when they offer free shipping on orders over $30. In all honesty, you just have to shop around to find the best price with shipping, I for the most part shop around before I buy. Also, I have been finding really good deals on amazon, I bought one of mine revell 2010 camaros thru amazon for $19 with free shipping, so I have started checking amazon now too.

I have been building models now for close to 20 years or so, but its only the last year, well since I became a member on here, that I have been trying to better myself , and build better looking models. I need to work on getting that clean finish. I can do a lot in this hobby, but have a perfectly clean build is not one of them. I have learned so much by being on here, and I know there is more to learn, but to at the end of the day, I do this for two reason's, one is because like the rest of us I love cars, and the second is , for fun, and its the second that is most important. The day I stop having fun with this hobby, is the day I will stop . I see to many members on here that I dont think have fun any more, and they act like its a job, this is a hobby. I dont think I will ever be able to build contest winning builds, and thats ok, thats not what I am setting out to do, but if it happens one day , great. Would I like to , yes I would, but I am not going set out to do that, because then pressure to become perfect sets in, and then will take the fun out of it.
