1956 Ford Big Job T 800 Challenge Mixer
Rodent replied to leafsprings's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Driven in convoy north to Challenge Cook along the route that is now the 110 from Long Beach Assembly? Not sure if they built "Big Jobs" there or not, but it appears that they did build trucks at that plant. Beautiful build BTW. -
Got some "C" stripes for my AMT 1/43 69 Torino. This guy was mentioned in another decal thread, and I checked him out. I sent him the dimensions of the body, and he scaled down his 1/25 stripes to fit. Seems like a nice guy, very professional, and he answers e-mail right away. The decals look to be kit quality. The registration between the stripes is very clean for such a small size. https://www.facebook.com/ScaleModeldecals/ http://www.kennyterry.com/

All the stores around here have signs advising that COVID has caused a coin shortage and they appreciate paying with exact change, plastic, or rounding up to the next whole dollar and donating your change to whatever charity/food pantry that store supports.

What did you see on the road today?

I remember going in to that American Legion to drop off some non-perishable food for their food closet. It's quite an interesting place...... -

I didn't think I wanted the 64 Belvedere, but after watching HPIGuy's build, I may swing by HL and pick one up. Unless they are gone by now.

Dropped The Bee 5-6 years ago. Way too expensive for (generally) poorly written stories about events that I read about on the internet days before and tons of ads. I think that is the "story" of most newspapers now.

Gen II Hemi vs 440 cu in engine debate
Rodent replied to JollySipper's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Probably 1968. 1967 is the year they used the Olds Delmont 88 425. Earlier CHP stuff still used the 426 wedge. -
Bingo. I have a bunch of these in the spares box and was wondering what they were. I was thinking of using a set on another build, but I am curious what period of time they were offered in 1:1. Now that I know what they may be, I can do some further research.

I am pretty sure that I have asked this question before, but what custom wheels are represented in the original Full-Size MPC Chevy kits?

The tan wasn't so bad if you were planning on building it stock. Any other way, not so much. I had an original T-Bird in black and a 55 Chevy in red. It was amazing how shiny and swirl-free their molding was back then.

My regular carrier drives one of these Grumman LLVs, but I am seeing more and more of the RAM Promasters around. They are quite a bit larger and THEY HAVE A/C! -
A friend of mine has probably a couple hundred 1:64 cars in Carney cases on the back wall of his hobby room. They are very nice, and appear to be worth every penny.

Me too, and I am surprised that Snake hasn't weighed back in. I am perfectly happy with the Canon inkjet that I have at the office (that I haven't been to since March 20) and the similar one I have at home. I occasionally print engine compartment decals, air cleaner decals, and minor other things. If I wanted wraps, NASCAR or drag car decals I wouldn't be satisfied with what I have currently. It's really not an "all sizes fit all" situation.

Pretty obvious that dispatch put them on the wrong track somehow.
