  1. Good to know. A "restomodded" version with the L-79, 4-speed, and maybe a set of rally wheels could be fun.
  2. I had this kit in my hand at the LHS when they first came out, and put it back when I figured out they wanted about $5 over retail for it. Reading all the issues here about warped hoods, windshields that don't fit, plus the "pebble-grain" plastic that David mentioned, I am glad I didn't get one of the earlier issues. I stared at the '66 shortbox for a while, but didn't get it either. I recently pulled the trigger on the '66 4x4 though, and it looks pretty nice overall. Kind of irritated that they left the 2wd decal sheet in it, but I guess "real modelers" can print their own "Four Wheel Drive" inserts for the fender emblems. I have enjoyed watching all of these Ford truck builds come together and will watch yours as well. Good luck with the warpage.
  3. spinach for dessert
  4. I have the 356 coupe. The engine is a little blobular, but overall it is a really nice kit that fits well and "looks like a 356".
  5. I was actually more irked by seeing the pregnant woman smoking a cigarette. Hope they are gone from California before her poor defenseless 3 lb baby is born.
  6. Grandma said "chitlins"
  7. Went to Target today. Coming back to the car, I passed an Altima in the parking lot with plates from about 1/2 way across the country. Man, woman, large dog. Dog was unleashed, and taking a dump in the parking lot. Obviously pregnant woman was watching and smoking a cigarette.
  8. Me too. Same name, same thought processes. Found some extremely tasteless custom mobility scooters that I still can't unsee though.....
  9. In the US, Harbor Freight sells a cheap set of hollow round leather punches. I have found that they work great for cutting out round gauges once they are printed. I couldn't cut out a circle with scissors when I was in third grade and I still can't.
  10. I hate to say "do a spoon test", but do a spoon test. The grey primer will probably darken the blue a bit. But as Jeff says, either one will work.
  11. If it is this one, it is quite recent. It is the one still in hobby shops and Hobby Lobby.
  12. he's gathering coconuts
