  1. I just sold one of these on ebay in March. It definitely has a V8, described as a "283" on the box. I know it should be a 265. I guess Revell was sloppy with details even back then.
  2. In most cases, front seats will have a separate backrest piece that will leave a visible seam when you glue the seat together. That is reason enough in my mind to require primer and paint on the seats. I cringe when I see some otherwise stellar builds on here with a big, visible seat seam.
  3. Tri-tip, mushrooms, asparagus, and a local brewski.
  4. I ASSumed that the items I ordered were in stock. I suspect they aren't. None of the hobby vendors have the particular set I ordered. This is why I asked on here. I figured someone would know if something is going on. I have emailed him three times, he has not responded to two of them.
  5. Anyone order directly from MCG recently? I placed an order near the beginning of the month, and all I can say is that Bob's service has been "Reliable" if you know what I mean. I really didn't expect that this would happen. I ordered a fret on eBay that should have what I need for my current project. I suspect that I will have to go through PayPal to get my money back from Bob.
  6. Great trade with Al (thatz4u), even though the Post Office seemed in no hurry to deliver to him . Next time, I won't use Pony Express.
  7. Sorry, I meant that the Thunderbolt kit I have was made before the street machine version was released. Not that is a magical 1949 Thunderbolt.
  8. Yes, that is exactly what I had in mind. I have a Thunderbolt that predates the one you are showing. I have forgotten where I got the resin hood and bench seat, but I have had them for a while.
  9. Seems like an opportunity for the Olson Brothers. Hint hint. Malibu bench seat too. Wanna build an L79 !!
  10. Ordered some aftermarket model parts that showed in stock on the 9th. Got a confirmation email on the 11th that my order had been received and would be shipped soon. Now crickets. This vendor charges exorbitant shipping, so I decided not to pay $16 for what probably will be a small padded envelope when it gets here. Gotta start buying this kind of stuff on ebay or not at all.
  11. Scott @futurattraction casts copies of the original 67 upper shock mount. They are very nice!
  12. I am channeling No-Tox from 1973 or so. "Smells like lemon, sticks like crazy!" Yeah, no. Didn't stick very well.
  13. Had one of these in the stash for many years. Finally sold it. Often wish I hadn't. Could recreate this as a diorama! Hard to believe that these 1:1 cars were worth little enough at the time that they were used in the movie. Great build Randy!
  14. I know that this isn't what you asked, but I want to point out that the AMT kit isn't a Tudor sedan (bottom), it's a Custom Club Coupe (top).
