  1. It was on the AP website, allegedly taken by Mark J. Terrill of the AP from a helicopter. The woman who owns it didn't lose her apartment either (allegedly again). Stranger things have happened....
  2. I saw some pictures from Jacksonville, AL that my cousins sent and/or posted on IG. One cousin's dog didn't know what to make of it at first, but soon figured out that it was fun. My cousin built a "snow dog" replica of him, complete with a stick in his mouth. It was cute with the two "dogs" posing together.
  3. It may have been, but it also was suggested in some 1970s MPC instruction sheets. I use the same type, and hang the body upside down to dry.
  4. Lenny, is this a '67 or '68? I recently acquired some '68 parts to complete the restoration of one I built in the early 1970s. There is a surprising amount of parts for these kits on eBay if you save a search or three and have patience. I would probably look for a better body before fixing that one unless it has sentimental value to you.
  5. Look at the inside of the trunk lid. I agree with the guys that it is probably a resin repop of the 1970 annual.
  6. "It followed me home, honest Honey." 😁
  7. Well, couples/families of varying body types and genders that share a vehicle might appreciate a "memory" feature that adjusts the seat and sometimes the steering wheel and pedals to "their" setting after someone else drove the car. The person who performed the alignment on my car a few weeks ago was about 2 inches taller than I am, but mucked with the fore-aft, cushion height, and recline adjustments for his brief seat time. We don't generally swap cars, but we both appreciate a multi-way power driver's seat with lumbar because they are more adjustable for comfort than just front/back manual adjustment and some of the lame-arse attempts at "manual" cushion height adjustment/rake I have seen on bottom feeder cars. Anything on a CAN network has the ability to take out the network if it fails. I spent a scant few minutes looking at wiring diagrams and I can't figure out why the Kia camera is on both high and low speed networks, but it is. I am not going to lose sleep over it.
  8. Its (near) twin lives somewhere near me. I keep seeing it on the road and even in the parking lot at Lowe's. The best part is that the guy I see driving it is probably not even 40. Speaking of 40, it seems to keep up with traffic fairly well at 40-45 mph.
  9. Paul listed a 64 Country Squire last night.
  10. What is the tub made of? Is it enamel finish or plastic? We stopped using bar soap 15+ years ago and it really cuts down on soap scum buildup in the shower.
  11. This is not what I normally build, but I am intrigued. Keep us posted 🙂
  12. Every time this kit has been out, I have fondled it in the LHS and returned it to the shelf because a) I don't have a lot of space for built large scale kits and b) I couldn't justify the price point for what is basically an inflated 1/25 kit. It looks like retail on this one is going to be close to $100. I was at 5:29 in Chris' video when I decided that I won't be getting this release either. Maybe I will if Hobby Lobby puts one on extreme clearance and I decide to go for 3D printed wheels/tires and maybe the normal 1x4 barrel intake. Otherwise no. His example had both a junk body and a junk decal sheet. Not good. Door lines need a good rescribing and the hood hinge slashes in the firewall are tragic at this scale. I realize that this is an old kit, but at this size couldn't they originally have made the stock wheels three pieces? What are 6.70x15 Firestone Supremes doing in a '69 Camaro kit? No wonder they don't fit the wheels.
  13. True. As I was typing that, Netflix was being viewed in the family room. The "account suspended" line was added into the very same email that was sent a few days ago. I must add that the email address that this email is from is the Romanian department of driving permits.
  14. Just got another one today. Now my Netflix account has been suspended. One thing I will say, the composition and grammar in these is head and shoulders above any other phishing email I have received.
  15. The Spaz Stix clear goes over it nicely and doesn't seem to affect the "chrominess". I experimented with it on a set of taillight bezels that are anodized aluminum on the 1:1 and was hoping to tone down the Revell Chrom a little bit, but they still look chrome. As far as durability, it seems pretty rain proof. The can I am using leaks a bit under the nozzle and I dripped some on my concrete walkway about 3 weeks ago. The sidewalk is still very chrome. I need to get a wire brush after it......
  16. Killer sale on incense for people who don't math very well.
  17. I got the same one and I DO have Netflix. As TJ recommends, I looked at the email on the computer and it wasn't from Netflix. Even if it WAS from Netflix, I wouldn't have clicked the link in the email, I would have logged in to Netflix and checked the payment info.
  18. Not to be picky or pedantic, but wasn't 1959 the first year of the 413 in the Imperial? N
  19. Save him as a seller. He posts resin every couple weeks or so. He is a member here as well, but I don't know how often he visits. When I posted my '66 in the "What did you get" thread, I got an apologetic message from him, saying that he had sent the old style seats with my kit and he had some redesigned ones. He immediately sent me the updated seats. Upstanding guy IMHO.
  20. Follow robbbbbb57 (Paul Hettick) on FleaBay. He has transkits of the '63, '64, and '66 wagons. I have a '66 Squire in the stash and it is very nice. I don't remember if the '63 is Sedan / Squire, but the '64 and '66 are available both ways. I know that you are a Ford guy, but please remember that the donor kit chassis are not correct for wagons and need some surgery on the "trunk" floor, fuel tank location, and spare tire storage to be accurate. Exhaust on the '66 donor isn't correct for a wagon either.
