  1. How about...... un-bashing? Due to a terrible addiction to buy all the cool stuff I see on this forum (looking at you @hgbben), I bought a Tamiya Volvo 850 wagon on eBay and ordered the 850 T-5R update kit from ZoomOn Models in Hong Kong. I asked for tracking, but I was unaware that also meant that they would require a signature. I am lucky to be able to WFH on M-W-F, in office T-T, but USPS tried to deliver my package on Tuesday when I was in the office and the spousal unit had a substitute gig. My local Post Office is horrible in the customer-facing department, so I went online to try to reschedule delivery online on a day I would be home rather than stand in line and have my package thrown at me. For some reason, the system wouldn't take the tracking number on the form so I couldn't reschedule redelivery online. We have a new carrier on the route, and I caught him on Wednesday and explained the situation. He is a really nice guy, and he wrote himself a note to redeliver it today. I saw him NOT come up to the door today, so I caught him when he returned to his LLV. He remembered what he told me and said that he asked "him" (keeper of undelivered packages?) to put it out for him today, but had forgotten to double check if that actually happened. What happened next almost made me fall over. Robert said that he was near the end of his route and would go back to the Post Office (about 2 miles) when he was done, get my package, and deliver it. That is exactly what he did. I tried to give him a tip, but he refused. BTW: this little resin, PE, and decal transkit is hella cool and they threw in a pair of aluminum fart mufflers and some Honduh/Acura badge decals as well. ZoomOn has other some cool stuff and I will be ordering more from them.
  2. I am watching an HPI Guy's workshop build of the '69 Cuda that I didn't know was coming.
  3. Can't confirm, but will try to help. I don't have that tire pack (I thought I did, but I can't find it...), but I have the "Wild Wheels and Wide Ovals" PP020/24 set. I believe the tires are the same as the F60-15 tire kits. They are a perfect fit IMHO in Joel's 15x8 slots. I ASSume that the L60-15s would fit the 15x10 wheels, but I can't confirm. Pic is Joel's 15x8 slots with the AMT tires and his 15x8 Radial T/As. Tires are pretty much the same size.
  4. Paging Charles Estes, Charles Estes to the 3D courtesy phone!
  5. Mike, my mother-in-law had dementia. We found out from her doctor that some folks have trouble swallowing and tend to aspirate a small amount of food or beverage. As a result of that she had quite a few bouts with bacterial pneumonia. She would recover from that, but her mental abilities never really came back to the state she was before the pneumonia. Really sorry to hear about your dad's condition.
  6. I buckle to peer pressure too easily. I received my kit from eBay today and am waiting for the trans kit from Hong Kong. Sigh.
  7. Given Moebius' record with the Ford pickups, They would be toy-like and full of warped parts. That said, about the only thing from the JoHan catalog I would welcome back would be the Javelins. Revell needs to treat these like the Boss 351 and do an all new rendition of them. The JoHan versions aren't worth bringing back. The AMT 68-69 Chrysler B-bodies could stand to have the wonky bodies corrected and could be done as 68/69 Roadrunner and GTX, and add a 1970 version with a Superbird. The JoHan 1931 Cadillacs were nice as were the Mercedes. Not sure what the market would be these days.
  8. Surprised it wasn't an immobilizer-less Kia or Hyundai. Gotta steal what is easiest to get, I guess. Had a surprising number of attempted thefts lately of drive-through ATMs lately as well.
  9. Got the Boss 351 today. Decided to throw the LHS a bone since they had it for $29.99 and they had an unscheduled remodeling a few days ago that they need to pay for. https://www.kcra.com/article/rc-country-hobbies-car-crash/45080275
  10. Thanks Les. The only kits I can find (including the Revell rebox) have the earlier style bumpers and taillamps.
  11. I can tell some pretty good flatulence stories. Maybe we should go there. Farts are funny. Artificial sweetener in frozen yogurt can clear a retail store very quickly.
  12. Did anyone make a kit or resin of a facelift non-M3 E30? I believe that the larger taillamps and updated front valence appeared in 1988 worldwide. I had a 1990 325is that I would like to replicate without too much grief. A smaller scale diecast would be OK as well even if I have to repaint it.
  13. Too many to narrow to five, but... The Graduate Psycho (original) Blue Hawaii Expiration Date (very obscure, saw it locally, hosted by some of the production team and cast) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expiration_Date_(film) (tie) Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Night of the Living Dead. Love the 50's horror movies.
  14. Jason, I must say that you are generally very quiet on here, but every one of the builds you post knocks my socks off. I hope you have a disaster plan in place to save them if a hurricane / tornado / sharknado threatens your part of Floriduh.
  15. Mine arrived today in the Sacramento CA area. Haven't removed the plastic yet.
  16. Looks very nice Lee. I in no way meant that this kit is unbuildable, but it could be daunting for a younger builder because it doesn't just fall together like some of the more modern kits. I am just glad he was interested, and it appeared that he was there with maybe a slightly younger brother. Maybe there is hope that all the car builders won't go the way of the Dodo or Passenger Pigeon.
  17. Got one today as well. I was surprised that it was priced at $31.99 before the 40%. Seeing the price runaway of their Revell kits, I expected to see the Bronco marked at $40.99. Pleasantly surprised to see a kid around 14-15 browsing the car kits. He seemed interested in the AMT '68 Shelby. If he bought it, I hope it doesn't turn him off from building for life....
  18. I have an original built one around here somewhere. I am going to wait for the eBay "kit breakers" to get ahold of one and pick up a decal sheet so I can give it an overhaul. Or buy a sheet from Round2 if/when they have them available. My original is a clean build, but it is Testor Silver with Glosscote, so it has become green over the years.
  19. If any of his molds and/or masters are in usable condition, I hope that someone in the Detroit resin community can get them back in production. He had some interesting stuff, if it actually ever existed.
  20. Got us too, first time for me. I attended a "super spreader" work event last Tuesday, was sick on Friday, tested positive on Saturday. In the "what pleased me" department, my symptoms have been really mild. Spouse is a little sicker, but not much. Both on Paxlovid if that is worth anything. Hope you feel better soon Jeff!
  21. Glad the little guy is OK! https://apnews.com/article/angelfish-ct-scan-denver-zoo-f0ea8fe850a48b2bf48ec34a36d52fe8
