Rustoleum 2X spray paints
Rodent replied to Smoke Wagon's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Yes, I wasn't going to mention them because the thread originally was about 2X. I used the Dark Steel on some exhaust pipes and it took 2 days to dry. Not sure why the Universal is so different than the 2X. And the nozzle sucks. -
I have also noticed that RoG's warranty replacement parts policy has gone from "can't ship to the US" to "404 not found".

Questions about the Lunar Lander kit
Rodent replied to Oldcarfan27's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I was able to visit Air and Space a number of years ago while on a work trip. It occurred to me that if there was a restored example somewhere, it would be there and there would be lots of pics available. It's cool that they have "cloned" LM2 into LM5, which is probably what you are looking for anyway. How old is your kid? -

LM2 is at the National Air and Space Museum. https://airandspace.si.edu/stories/editorial/how-replicate-lunar-module-moon How about some non-sanded tile grout for the moon's surface? -
Rustoleum 2X spray paints

I like the metallic aluminum. Goes on nice, dries fast, and looks good. Just the thing for engine parts that you want aluminum color. Primer isn't necessary, it covers nicely with just a puff or two. -

Good! I bought the resin convertible body, but I now can't find the donor kit that I thought I had. They are kinda expensive on "the bay", so it will be nice to have a freshly minted one hopefully not molded in yellow.

I hope all of our Brothers and Sisters In Styrene in the Boulder area are safe. It's crazy what is going on there right now. Almost seems like California.....

For 2022, they went a little e-crazy. Along with the e-tron (suv) and e-tron Sportback (fastback SUV), they now have a Q4 e-tron and Sportback, e-tron GT, RS e-tron GT, e-tron S and Sportback. I will probably get at least one each of these three kits when they come out. They are all cool in their own way IMHO. I am especially excited to see what variants the Mustang may spawn over the years.

Tony, do you have WIP threads on any of them, especially the '67? I would like to see how you "corrected" the front suspension and track issues these kits have.

Those are all very nice, but the Boss is stunning! Time to add red, blue, and green GT350Hs to your Hertz diorama.

A good rule of thumb around here is that if you think that it might possibly offend someone somewhere, it probably will.

The Ford V10 is basically a 5.4 with two additional cylinders. They came in both 2-valve and 3-valve versions, depending on year and application. You could probably splice a couple of Mustang 4.6 engines together and make a decent replica yourself. Or make a phantom V12 even. Better yet, dig up a couple of engines from the Revell Mach III concept and build a phantom DOHC V10 or V12.

Moebius 1964 Nova SS - first detailed look inside the box...

Looks like a nice kit. Not to be a rivet counter, but the 4-bbl dual exhaust 283 made 220 HP, not 195. -

Another way you can go with this is one of the Tamiya red mica (metallics) over the aluminum, then the clear red over that. That's kind of like the Mazda Soul Red recipe. A coat or two of of TS-13 over the top might help as well. Just another red tricoat recipe. Nice build!
