  1. Wanted to try this, so I made a couple extras for the interior.
  2. Got back on the Camaro. Body is primed, I will add one more coat before paint. Finally made progress on the front airdam, some touch-up still to be done. I really need to get my spray booth made, I have projects starting to stack up because I would rather wait to get that done before final paint jobs are attempted. Anyway... here's the pics..
  3. Their website or eBay
  4. No, I would say not! Looks good!
  5. They are nice, but in my opinion, too heavy for a plastic model. I have a SBC and a BBC set, but I plan on selling them. I have tried ways to polish certain parts to a higher shine, to no avail. Not a pewter guy.
  6. This isn't much of an update, but sure feels like it! Playing with ideas and materials to get the u-bolts as right as I could, styrene, piano wire, straight pin shanks... Finally got the styrene to work for me.
  7. Certainly, either use warm water, or I like a hair dryer. Just be patient and let it rest afterward. Even hit with cool air to set it. It's best to make a jig and tape it down until you have let it cool. Just think about how it will move and if it will look ok . Worst case, you can pin it back in place if it fails. This is based on my opinion and experience, others may certainly have other options.
  8. So... interior is done, unless I come up with a few extras to place in there... I'm not proud of my window cranks, but they'll do.
  9. I thank you, I will certainly save and try this method! Looks great!
  10. That's very non specific, what are you wanting to know?
  11. Some nice carpet jobs guys! I have recently started this process myself, my concern was smoothness, so I opted out of Elmer's. I used an old can of enamel paint(yes, same / similar color). Taped off areas not to carpeted, and it looks very nice to me. I used embossing powder for these.
  12. Cool, wondered if all were universal, thanks again!
  13. Are there tires that will go with the wheels?
  14. There not actual decals, there are printings from the guy on eBay. A side note...I , for whatever reason, I decided to use a small dab of super glue for placement. Works great, but have it exactly where you want it.... there's no moving it after! Lol Hence my speedo is the tiniest bit tilted. I'll stick with Elmer's or clear coat from now on! Thanks for everyone following along!
  15. Small update on the interior. I had both bench seats installed, then had an incident with the back one, so it's getting stripped for a repaint. Here's the dash from original to finished. I think it turned out decent.
  16. If you go to his website, this is under the download section of the drop-down menu...
  17. Interior painted, carpet installed, ready for detailing and assembly.
  18. While making suspension parts, I have been prepping the interior. These seat bottoms bothered me, so I cut them from the backs to try and clean up the lines, to no avail. So I opted to sand down the seat lines and replace with styrene. More pics soon, interior is painted, just needs carpet installed.
  19. The Audi came Thursday, the printed tires and paint today. Other parts shown were a bonus.
  20. Paper punch, disc cutter punch(check eBay), drafting templates, find a dowel rod the size you want (of wood, steel,??) lightly glue to it's end and sand around it. Hope this helps
  21. Hello all, I would like to ask suggestions about finishing the underside for my Suburban build. I started with black primer(hoping for highlights), then shot a light (heavy dusting) coat of grey primer to keep the color bright. Spray canned the color, no shadowing. Did I defeat the black by using the grey? To make this more realistic, not a Pavement Princess paint job, should I use a wash of darker blue, black,?? Or a coat of dull, semi clear?? Thanks in advance, Karl
  22. Brakes and rotors installed, steering started.
  23. Didn't know they were used, untill in the cart. But it allowed me to put them in a cart??
