  1. Also got two Nova wagons today from John (automodels2)
  2. I like this look, good to know on the easy fit from the deserter.
  3. Thanks to all. Yes, hence the title....x3. scroll back to see #1 done I believe around may 2019.
  4. I believe both bodies are ready, some light coats of spot primer, seal primer, a wet sand, then shooting some color on the insides of the interiors and front clips.
  5. Fabbed up some front spindles of my own.
  6. I plan to do so as well. Check other truck kits to see what might fit or go with aftermarket parts.
  7. So which dollar store chain exactly?
  8. Yes, most definitely. I believe the paint mixing with the solution weakens/pollutes it.
  9. I will post pics of current progress soon, haven't taken any of the chassis and new tires
  10. So, I decided to tackle a "simple" project to finish in between working on the Flintstone Flyers. I have several bodies I painted for drag slot cars, but never finished. So now that I'm out of the Racing, I believe, I can turn these bodies into finished builds pretty easily....right? I changed my mind on the tires, rebuilt the rear end to accommodate the new tire choice, made adapter spindles, then found the fronts to be too wide and it set too high. I decided to utilize the lowering set up from Iceman, which didn't help that problem. Ended up rebuilding those parts because they were brittle. Now changed tires again to come in farther, but now I am making disc brakes and rotors for those, plus making a stronger spindle set up. Here are some pics to show the progression so far.
  11. I believe I saw some on Ron Olsen's Shapeway page
  12. Finally grabbed a pair of these...
  13. This morning both bodies are officially fitted to their respective chassis. Added detail to firewall areas.
  14. Managed a little bench time here and there. Fixed all window pillars, some more body work, made and replaced rear trim again, as this is common on all three bodies. Also finished other firewall.
  15. Gee, thanks Rob...now I have a long list of items I could use!! LOL I haven't looked at Ron's items in a long while, great ideas!
  16. The actual trim is about an inch wide, probably between 3/16 and a 1/4 Inch at most. Has a slight depression in the center I believe 1/4 to 5/16 wide. Can scale it from there
  17. Got this a few months ago from a friend, will be a nice resto some day.
  18. Oh yes, Moebius, some Suburbans, vans, resins, Blazers.......etc.!
  19. They are one the more prompt casters to fill an order. And it all looks great!
  20. I was told that one of the last reissues had a dealer only (one per dealer) version with both sets of chrome. I have not personally seen one yet. Resin is a possibility, maybe MCW. I have taken small styrene flat stock with great success and made moulding. I have either made tooling to make convex shapes or scribed insets. Hope this helps!!
  21. Good luck with the decals from the Cruze kits! When I get back to them, I will try some Tamiya decal set to see if it helps
  22. Two small pkgs. today...some of Chief Joseph's amazing work, rims, tires, wheel backs. Then thought I'd try a couple engines from Scale Repro.
