  1. Oh yeah, we are definately coming again this year. I actually decided to build this project because of one of the themes.
  2. Progress looks great Tyrone.
  3. Paint looks good Tyrone. Is it going to be basic black or will there be any added color or graphics?
  4. O.K., so the onboard electronics are in place and wired along with the onboard fire extinguisher. The battery is painted, wired and installed and the spoiler braces are in place.
  5. I want one. We must know where to get one.
  6. A week late but here is a link to the photos from the October FAST meeting held last weekend at the Hobby Lobby in Ocala. President Jim had a very nice Impala build with an equally nice water bubble effects paint job. Sorry if the pics. are in a small format. I forgot my camera and had to use my smart phone for the pictures. http://public.fotki.com/1320wayne/fast-club-meetings/october-2012-fast/
  7. Here is more completed on the build. Engine bay is coming along with the added detail of wiring and plumbing. Radiator, fuel cell and dry sump system are all in place. The finished clear coat is done and the wind visor has been created. It still needs to be cleared. More updates to follow.
  8. Looks to be another good looking project Tyrone. Are you going to open up the rear wheelwells or leave them stock appearring?
  9. I saw this in person at the club meeting yesterday and it's even nicer in person. Great job.
  10. Sharp looking work. Excellent detail.
  11. More progress. The body, paint and decals are all complete on both sides along with the clear coat. A week from now I will be able to rub it out to a glass smooth finish. The engine is installed along with the shortened driveshaft. The dist. is in and wired. I used a very nice piece from Scale Modeling by Chris. All fittings have been attached and painted and are now ready for braided lines to be added.
  12. Rob, the company is in my hands now. I have everything to get it restarted. I am currently working out the details with my own life to get things going again. Dave, I will let you know when I get something ready for the 37 body.
  13. Dave here are two pics. of bodies that I created for TEM. The molds have not been produced yet but will be shortly.
  14. Awesome build. Even better in person.
  15. Projects looking good Tyrone.
  16. Some progress on the chassis and suspension. Both front and rear suspensions and tires and wheels are in place along with the steering assembly and the wheelie bars. Everything is straight and level. Tire lettering is complete and the drivers side graphics are coming along as well.
  17. Well, the first side is complete. All sponsor logos are in place. The hood scoop was done with a snakeskin lightning bolt pattern. I am also getting back to the engine. The carb. is added along with the start of the fuel lines. The fittings are from RB Motion. The carb. is a resin piece from Protech.
  18. I am a member of the forum, although I'm not on it all that often.
  19. The scoop is not painted yet. I have a few different ideas for the scoop but haven't quite decided yet.
  20. The engine being used is straight out of the Jukebox Ford Top Sportsman kit.
  21. Thanks for the comments. The side panels will work as follows. One layer of snakeskin goes down first followed by the side panel from a Slixx Nascar sheet. There is a small section of clear between the blue and white on the side panel that the snakeskin underlayment will show through. Once these are down a thin section of snakeskin for the rocker panel will be added. Then I start to add sponsor logos. This is where I am at right now with more decals to add later.
  22. O.K., you asked for it. First is a pic. of the engine progress. I used the basic block, heads and bellhousing from the Jukebox kit but I added a resin TEM Lenco. So here are the first pics. of where I am going with the graphics. This is just the beginning and I will be photographing it in stages. These are homemade decals that are taking some time to apply as it is requiring lots of setting solution and then cutting through all of the panel lines. So far so good.
  23. Superb job Jim. Love the paint job. I have seen a Youtube video showing the technique for doing the water spot painting but I can't seem to find it. Thought I had it saved. Guess not. Anyway, awesome job.
  24. Not much to update here, however I am on vacation this week and plan to get a good bit done with plenty of updates by the end of the week. The body has been painted with a white base coat with graphics to follow. I have the paint scheme all planned out and I hope it comes out how I have it pictured. The chassis has a simple black pint coat with plenty of detail painting soon to come.
  25. Excellent build. That's a great looking model.
