  1. Here is more on the vehicle. Drivers side decals are done along with the painted framework around the windows and the glass is being installed.
  2. The one jumping from the truck came from a set bought at Toy R Us called Tube of Dogs. The one sitting came with the prepainted officer and I believe it's from a company called Phoenix.
  3. Very nice work on all the bodywork.
  4. Here are a couple that I have done for some pro mod builds.
  5. Here's one I finished up early last year based on the MPC Thunderstruck 78 Dodge kit. A few srcatchbuilt pieces and custom graphics.
  6. You are correct in that Bob did start a "Best of the Best" show at the Portland Roadster show, which also had a model contest involved, but the show that Mark is referring to was an invitation only show that was supposed to go off in 2010 in Phoenix. The announcements for the show first went out in 2006 and the list of participants were hand-picked by the organizers. Each entry was to be acconmapnied by a presentation by the builder of what they did to achieve the build. The entry fee was in the triple digits. When it was first announced there was definately mixed reviews along with those individuals that had a legitimate gripe regarding alternative scales but there was a lot of positive feedback as well. Ultimately I would imagine that the lengthy timeline for the show was probably one of the biggest factors that helped contribute to it never happening. All that time between conception and completion most people simply lost interest. At least that's my take on it.
  7. Mailman delivered my 55 Chrysler 300 today. Awesome kit.
  8. Rom, you did an awesome job on this. You spent so much time putting a tremendous effort into a spectacular build and you should be proud of the effort. As far as certain forum members here that chose to chime in and disrupt the effort I have this to say. There is a fine line between constructive criticism and disparraging comments. You know, when I built my Daytona Pro Mod a while back, and posted in progress pictures of the build, someone chimed in and pointed out that I had installed the modern Hemi valve covers upside down. That was a mistake on my part and was constructive on the part of the person that noticed. I was thankful for their comments because I didn't see the error myself. They didn't come in and say that they thought the effort was awful or that they didn't like what I had done or that they didn't care for the subject matter. Any way you slice it, that's wrong and should be unwarranted here. If you don't care for the subject matter then you have no business even putting in your two cents because nothing good can come from it. I agree that if you post something here that you should be open and willing to accept comments, positive or negative but there must be a line drawn to determine the difference between critiquing and out and out spiteful, malicious behavior, that apparently a few folks here just can't seem to get the message and continue to try and make a point that is unjust. And, as it has aready been stated by a few here, sometimes the negative feedback just needs to be worded in a manner that is in a positive tone and the builder might just be more responsive to the comments. That is my input on the matter. Rom, sorry for the long rant but I felt the need to comment. I can't wait to see what you do for an encore. But on the next one, try not to make it look so much like a toy, would you? LOL!
  9. Another cool looking project Tyrone.
  10. Excellent Chuck. Now I can toss my other Pepsi Challenger decal into the trash pile and get this one. I was just about to place an order with you but now I can adjust that one to include this new decal.
  11. Very nicely done so far. Glass smooth paint and finish.
  12. Here is one that I built many years ago. At one point the entire set was complete but I wasn't happy with the outcome so I'm rebuilding all of them. The tow vehicle is finished but the trailer and race truck still have a ways to go.
  13. Great looking build Jim. Good to see how well Stoney's decals look when applied. I have a few sets but haven't had the chance to use them yet.
  14. It looks good. That front end appears to have some later model Ferrari styling cues adapted into it.
  15. Virgil, I'm still undecided about which season this will be set in. I have a Moose and an Elk with full antlers so I have to please the bean counters that would question which time of year this is set in. The nest is for effect and doesn't neccessarily mean that it should be spring time mating season. I'm leaning towards Springtime or Fall before any major snowfall.
  16. And here is the latest work completed. I have been concentrating on the Explorer build, paint and decals.
  17. I had originally started to showcase this build in a community build for emergency vehicles but it has kind of gone stagnant and I haven't been any help to it overall but since I am finally getting back to this and have made some new progress I am moving this to the dio. section. This will be my second full blown diorama project. The scene will basically depict an outdoors scene from the Alaska wilderness with a police Explorer k-9 unit on the hunt for an escaped criminal. There will be plenty of trees, rocks, foliage and wildlife. Here is where I am at so far. And one of the many trees that will be added is a custom unit that I purchased off Ebay with an Eagles nest on the top.
  18. Here is a link to where you can get this body and plenty of other cool, very nicely done parts for your builds. http://futurattraction.com/index.html
  19. Rom, it's been a pleasure watching this one come together. You should be very proud of the outcome.
  20. With all of the current projects that I have ongoing this isn't going be anything making progress for a while but I was so excited about what I received in the mail today I simply had to show it off. It's probably been about at least four to five years now since I first saw a project featured on one of the model forums regarding a resin body to enable the builder to do a Nicholson or Glidden pro stock Ford Fairmont. I was excited from the start with the possibility of being able to replicate one of these iconic cars, especially since no kit ever existed of a Ford Fairmont. Scott Popham, aka Futurratraction, was the one working on the body and at times it seemed as if he would never get this one done and ready to market it due in fact that he was so strict about every detail and overall quality of the master. Well the wait is over and it has been well worth it. The postman dropped off my long awaited package today and to say that I am impressed with what I received is an understatement. The body is one of the best casted resin bodies that I have ever seen. No flaws anywhere. Perfect from one end to the other. And the extra photo etch pieces just help to bring it all together. A PE grill center, PE door handles and the best part is the PE top to the snorkel style hood scoop. At this point the only thing missing are the headlight and taillight lenses, which Scott is still working on and will ship out shortly when they are ready. I highly reccomend this body to one and all. You will not be dissapointed with the product. Hopefully soon I will have some other projects done and out of the way so that I can get started on this one. The version I will be doing.
  21. Absolutely incredible detail.
  22. I don't remember which year of MCM (I have the issue somewhere in my collection) but when the Buick Roadmaster Woody kit was announced I was all excited until I realized that it was a joke.
  23. Nice work on the helmet. Just one more feature to help bring it all together.
  24. Lou, the car pictured is a West Coast pro mod/AA Supercharged car. I haven't been able to find any info. on it other than more track shots. It's not a D'Aprile car. I will keep searching to see if it can be identified.
  25. Looks pretty accurate to me. Great detail work.
